Mjøndalen was in the first division last year, but they got relegated, is now having a bad season in second division, currently 10th place.
It will be funny if he signs with them, because the team in our city where i'm living, is in the same division.

2nd division of Norway? That sounds like a shitty place to be in...

He just needs to GTFO of Iran right now, he has a target on his back clearly ever since the whole video of him dancing with the girl and being jailed incident. Obviously this league/team isn't ideal but it will be better for him to be in an environment where he can focus on football only and not have to worry about being persecuted for what pants he wears or who he dances with.

        Perspolis FC
        Malavan Bandar Anzali

I agree with you, but I thought he could find a better team. He was the GK of one of Asia's best teams Perspolis and also has international status (3 caps for TM).

Taking a quick look at their stats, they have done quite decently in scoring goals, but they have conceded the most goals in the league. Who knows, maybe their goalies are weak at the moment? If Sosha can help reduce the number of goals conceded, they could theoretically promote. Spots 3-6 fight in the promotion playoff , and Mjøndalen is not that far away from those ranks, in terms of points.

If he works hard and stays sharp, this could end very well for him.

From what I've seen on Wikipedia, its possible that the team might be interested in signing him as their number-one keeper just retired recently, and they only have ONE Goalie in the squad, who has limited experience. Sosha could be that replacement that they could be looking for. As an Iranian Goalkeeper playing in a league that's foreign to you can be advantage in many cases as you to defend your goal against European and other diverse strikers as opposed to only Brazilians or Iranians in our league. Nonetheless it's an experience, plus he could get the team promoted. There is always that possibility, almost like NEC's promotion back to their premier league, and that led to Jahanbakhsh's transfer to one of the top teams in the Dutch League or another example could be Etemadi's second division team, Almere City, and his performance of getting him possibly back at SC Heerenveen. It should be noted that Haghighi had been at three Portuguese teams and only one of those teams actually managed to remain in their Premier league. Only Davari had the experience of guiding his team to a promotion from 2.Bundesliga, but maybe Sosha can do as well, that is if he is given the chance.

Can't believe everyone missed this: Paykan sign Armenian NT defender Levon Hayrapetyan from FC Pyunik . He started his career at Hamburger SV II and has played in Lechia Gdansk and Widzew Lodz of the Polish top flight. He also played Pribram in the Czech top flight. He has 29 caps and 1 goal for Armenia. Good signing.

The only reasons these Armenians decide to play in Iran is crazy money offered by IPL teams, which is 3-4 times more than what they get in their local clubs.

Do you guys remember when Mehdi Rahmati had an offer from Rosenborg BK?

Do you guys remember Rahmati's response as to why he declined?

"There was a club in Norway, yes a good team. But it's a country near the North Pole and I didn't want to take my family all the way over there in freezing weather so far away from Iran."
