The subject of Shojaei keeps coming up, and the most common answer is always experience - CQ will continue to use a mix of golden oldies hosseini montazeri Shojaie ando, until the youngsters bed in- you can not throw in a bunch of kids with little prep games under their belt.

I agree - with CQ if you don't have the physic, you don't make it - khalatbari despite his flair was a prime example- Alishah and mosalman are of that caliber. Secondly a great club form does not necessarily make you an international material. Ebrahimi is small but he is like a tank.

Finally I think every 20 years Iran produces one top goalie- I would have given the honor to haghighi but poor boy has not been made to understand if he is coming or Going - with Russians, Portuguese, a bit of PP in between and lots of injuries. Akhbari is def going to be crossed out- he is one for post 2018 not now. I feel our next top goalie is Mazaheri, his saves and sense of positioning is superb and confident. He needs to gain international experience over haghighi though.

I am just happy for a guy like Mohammad Taibi who was working in restaurant back to 4-5 years a go and up to age of 25. Even though this can be just a simple calls up, still happy for him. That shows two things in my opinion:
1. How football is f.up in country.
2. Real determination pays off.

decent list. Really want to see what pahlevan brings to the table. Only complaints: i think its time for shojaei to be phased out. Potential replacements could be mosalman, ghoddos. Why isnt torabi on the list? doesnt pourghaz play in the second division, not that young? Why is he getting called up?

1-Gucci is injured.
2- they won't let Rahmani and Rafeie play. Rahmani still has 3 months of Sarbazi left and Rafeie has about 1 year.

Great list - he's giving an opportunity to some young guys and also rewarding the SS khuzestan players that's good to see. The only player im missing is Morteza Tabrizi but no TM list is ever perfect top to bottom - this is as close as it'll get. I'm interested to see how Tayyebi and Zahivi perform

Great list by CQ. He invited the best players from the league. Glad Pahlevan got called up, i think he can play a similar role to what V.Amiri does in TM. They are both small players who dribble past their defender on the wings without doing extra shit. Their style of play is very similar.

Given good D line of Esteghlal khuzestan it is not surprise to see him in the list.
He was invited for U23 but for no good reason Khakpour did not select him in his final list.
Given his age , he has better chance to remain in future list than Tayebi.

Good List .. may be a few others who deserved to be on the TM call up, but there is only room for 32 and this is only for an upcoming friendly game. There are a number of aging players and I can see CQ has invited potential long term replacements. He wants to try them out.
