Even the players who transferred from Arab clubs to Europe - like Daei, Nekounam or Shojaei transferred because of performances in the national team. We still had players like Mahdavikia, Navidkia, Bagheri (to Bielefeld), Azizi, and most of the new players transfer directly from Iran.
Besdies we know most of the ones who transferred from Arab countries did so because the filthy dallals wanted to cut the clubs out as much as possible.
Anyways, I don't think anyone is saying the Arab league teams are bad... we are saying our club teams are never performing even anywhere close to their peak.
Dude all names you mentioned never delivered in Iran either..
Samereh was named as top scorer in UAE and had good time there but he was like many others in shadow of Daei.
I just go after two of so called biggest prospect in country in early 2000: Kazemian and Mobali. They played during some period of their career in Arab Leagues but how about times they played in local league before and after? Why if Arab League was reason of their failure they couldn't bounce back. Sorry man you know how much i like you but those are all just excuses.
Enayati was saying: Mordeh manam be felani goal mizad, chera vaghti Daei retire shod natonest kaari kone?
The fact is that if you are good enough you make it no matter what, if you are not stop finding excuses..
There is no doubt that we had some players like Nikbakht and few others who were typical lazy and decided to go after money instead of career in Europe. So lets not blame every thing on Arabs like IR does.

Unfortunately this generation of Iranian football players doesn't know how to play football. This is the sad reality which is the result of negligence and incompetence of our clubs. There are alot of young and talented youngsters in Iran with the potential of becoming international stars but no one is paying attention to them.

I am not shocked by the result today, it will get worse. Others improve by investing into academies, training facilities and good coaches both at youth and senior level. Meanwhile Iranian players lack the basic football skills that they teach you at 6-10 years of age in Europe.

Mahdavikia started a very good project KIA Football Academy because he knows the currenct situation. Hopefully we will see more projects like these in the near future established by our clubs, its their responsibility to fix it.

it should be apparent to whoever watched the game how valuable Rajabzadeh is, Zobahan was toothless without him
If I was cq I'd give him another shot, depending on severity of his injury of course

          Absolutely!

However that excuse won't work at all though!

Let me ask this! By last year; you mean before the transfer season right? Well, Zob Ahan has the same formation and Squad as last year (2015-2016). This game was done before the transfer window. I have to say though that Rajab Zadeh is 30% of the team. He could probably pull out a 2-2 tie and still being eliminated though

            Thanks bro!

Absolutely! However, why do you mean by last year? You mean 2015-2016; before the transfer window?! well, that excuse is completely false though! Because Zob Ahan has done no official completed transfer and the squad and formation are the same. However, I have to agree that Rajabzadeh is 30% of the team. With him they could pull out a tie but still being eliminated probably ... Exactly zooremoon naresid ..Period! We need more power and stamina; could not beat a tired UAE team

Guys guys please relax n calm down
It really does not matter that Traktor and Zobahan are out

Even if Perspolisi or Esteghlal were there the outcome would have been the same
I said this 6 months ago even if they would have made it all the way to the Semifinals of the AFC ACL , they would hVe never made the finals
Our teams and infrastructure of our Football in the club level is 20 years behind like s of Korea and Japan and now China and Australia
Let's just concentrate on our TM and hope to make the 2018 WC

No bro. They say these teams were good in the previous season when they got the qualification spots, while they were poor this season. While other than maybe Sepahan all other 3 teams played well in the IPL this year too!

Disagree with you! Dejagah being our best player is just a matter of opinion! In fact, sometimes in some games, I even wonder why he's a regular. He's far from his top form when he played in Fulham and it all started when he went to Qatar for money! He used to run so much more and dominate games. He was all over the field. Now, he barely runs.

This tournament and the Asian Cup shouldn't be our priority anymore. After that robbery from Ben Williams, I don't care less about rigged Asian tournaments. Our main goal is qualify for the World Cup 2018, and improve our performance from 2014.

                          Two simple points:

                          1. Zob had plenty of chances but missed them. One problem was the players did not have confidence to shoot and always tried to send crosses or get near the goalkeeper. The fear in Yahya's face was clearly visible. If you had a lion on the bench the result would have been different.

                          2. Dej has dropped and there is no doubt about it. He has the skills but endurance wise he is not what he used to be. One problem has to do with climate and it is not about laziness of arabs. If you live in a place where the heat is 45 degreeC then you run less and you workout less. remember in some asian games they gave water break time. He may develop tolerance for heat but endurance for 120 minutes is reduced. I keep on watching the argentina game. The damn ref should have awarded him with a penalty.
