Amir Shapourzadeh - now 2nd Bundesliga

Shapourzadeh Team is now playing against Duisburg .. halftime 1:1 . Duisburg have to Score 3 Goals now to go through , so for now Würzburger Kickers are in the 2nd Bundesliga.
Shapourzadeh is the captain of this Team..
By the way, a good Friend of me , Nejmeddin Daghfous the Nr 10 of Würzburger Kickers plays also in this Team . He is the Nummer 10 but was injured in First leg. He said amir is a very nice guy and they are good Friends

The guy was doing everything right about his career until he moved to Iran and joined Estil-Azin disaster, that kind of ruined his career and took him while to recover, too bad he is now 33!

He's been on and off the bench quite recently, when does his contract expire? I wouldn't be surprised that they let him go tbh as I doubt he's at the Bundesliga 2 level at his age, hope I'm wrong. Still well done to him and his team. He played in the regional league after Iran and now he could be in one of the best second divisions in Europe!

He's the captain of the team though.

Would be cool for Hajsafi to join this team and play with Shapourzadeh

No it wouldn't, go away. No more 2nd tier leagues for TM players.

Hey I'm not saying I want this to happen necessarily, but I just don't see Ehsan getting any offers from the top Bundesliga. He played for a 2.Bundesliga side that relegated and will probably get picked up by another 2.Bundesliga side. Believe me, I'm all for him going to Turkey, Russia, Austria, etc, but I think he will probably stay in the 2.Bundesliga, and if he's gonna play in that league, he might as well have an Iranian teammate.

What's good is that if Shapourzadeh plays well and ends up in Carlos' radar, Carlos doesn't need to work on any bullshit paperwork to get him to Team Melli. Shapourzadeh already has 1 CAP for Team Melli when Ali Daei was the coach.

But we have to wait and see. He's also 33 years old.

I wish him the best of luck!

He was injured the last 2 games , that was the reason he only was subbed in but he is the captain and was a fix player in every game of the season !

Actually, he has 5. Iran B team still counts toward international caps since you're playing against an A national team. He earned 4 there, which totals to 5.

in his very short TM stint, the guy came across to Me as a genuinely nice kid with a lovely personality, yet the most inept footballer who ever put on the shirt as well..!!
havent seen the kid in action since nor before that, but unless he had a revolutionary improvement in his footballing abilities, i would also have to guess that he will struggle mightily in the competitive BL2 environment ..!

I don't think he will struggle he has played many if not most of his football career in BL2 and fared ok, he's not a lethal striker that will wow you he's an overall fundamentally sound forward with good football IQ from what I remember, I was watching some of his highlights in steel azin last night to refresh my memory a bit. Highly doubt he will be on CQ's radar since we got much better forwards but as an Iranian I'll still be rooting for him.
