After all the hype surrounding him in January with articles like the ones below I was expecting to hear a lot of buzz this summer after he had such an impressive end to the season with both club and country.

Could there be that there is something happening in private and being kept away from the media?

Cant believe how the Japanese youngster is going to Arsenal while Sardar seems to be stuck in Russia.

This is the truth. If he was Japanese or Korean, sky is the limit. Now he is stuck at Rubin.

As an arsenal fan I'll tell you the deal with the Japanese youngster . We've had a couple before . They basically play in friendlies when we go to Japan, then never play, then get loaned out , and eventually disposed of. THEIR SOLE PURPOSE is to sell shirts in the Asian market

Well, thats not the main case, if the player would succeed wich the new youngster will probably do cause he pretty much is the Japanese version of Sardar Azmoun but a light one kinda like coca cola light. He might actually become an essential player at Arsenals

Let's not make excuses. Yeah it sucks that Iranian players are somewhat discriminated against when it comes to new potential teams. However Iranian have made many moves to teams like Bayern Munich ( much better than Arsenal ) as well. No Japanese players have done that. Our players can't make excuses either . They will just need to work doubly as hard and be smart when it comes to choosing their next teams . Germany , Spain are much better places for our young talent to shine. I guarantee you that if azmoun continues with his end of season form for even 6 more months , teams will be all over him .

it is not because they are good it is because there is so much money involved on both sides when a Japanese or Korean move to Europe. Toyota and Hyundai win and Arsenal win as well.

It has to do a lot with Money. In Korea and Japan Arsenal can sell goods and make money and extend their fan base. They cant do that in Iran. Plus Arsenal goes to Asia tours usually so they can make more money that way... See right now we all became Dinamo zagreb fans to some extent but they cant capitalize on that bc dinamo wont be able to benefit from it!!!

Miyaichi was actually a good prospect and Arsenal fans were looking forward to his future. When he was loaned out to Feyenoord, he dominated the Dutch league at the age of 18. 3 goals and 5 assists in 10 games according to transfermarkt. However he suffered from repeated injuries.

Well now with the sanctions being lifted, they could actually benefit from the Iranian market.

I hate to say it, but Japanese and Korean players have done better than our players in Europe. Kagawa and Park Ji-Sung is/was far more successful than Mahdavikia. Okazaki and Son Heng-Min have scored more goals than Hashemian in the top leagues and Okazaki is a starter for EPL champions. Most of the current Japanese players in the top 4 leagues earn regular playing time when Azmoun is the only Iranian player who can become a starter in the top 4 leagues at the moment. No wonder European clubs prefer Japanese and Korean players to our players.

Thats because every slightly above average Japanese and Korean players gets a chance to play for a good team in a top league. If every slightly above average Iranian player got the same opportunity there would be some good ones as well. You name a few that are doing good, but there have been much more Japanese/Korean flops than successes.

It's also a lot easily to play well with better teammates around you in a mid table German club compared to a bottom table Russian or 2. Bundesliga team

Funny logic. That's why Daei, Hashemian and Karimi were successful at Bayern.

Cha Bum-Kun, Hidetoshi Nakata, Shunsuke Nakamura, Lee Young Pyo, Keisuke Honda, Yuto Nagatomo, Ki Sung-yueng, Makoto Hasebe etc.

Or maybe how mahdavikia, Nekounam, shojaei, rezaei, were successful in top leagues. Even Hashemian at Bochum. It seems you want to pick out the Japanese and Korean successes but ignore the Iranian ones. There has been more Iranian successes in top leagues than flops. There's no reason to think some of the good Iranian players today couldn't play in a mid table or lower table top 4 league.

Do you really think guys like JB, Ansarifard, Gucci, Taremi can do well in the top 4 leagues and have the following stats?

2012/13 Son Heung-Min 12 goals and 3 assists for Leverkusen
2012/13 Shinji Kagawa 12 goals and 13 assists for Dortmund
2013/14 Hiroshi Kiyotake 4 goals and 11 assists for Nurnberg
2013/14 Shinji Okazaki 15 goals and 1 assist for Mainz
2014/15 Ki Sung-Yong 8 goals and 1 assist for Swansea

You don't get the point. I'm not saying that there aren't Japanese or Korean players doing well in Europe, but that so many of them get the opportunity to play in top places that there are bound to be some that do good. Again if every Iranian player that showed promise got a chance to play in a mid table top 4 league side, I'm sure there would be a few putting up good stats in a few years.

Also Interesting that you conveniently left out azmoun in your question
