    Iran vs Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan who had a friendly setup with Uzbekistan, both had cancelled the friendly as Uzbekistan instead setup a friendly with Equatorial Guinea.

Iran will host Kyrgyzstan on 07/06/2016 in Tehran. This will be Iran's third encounter with Kyrgyzstan which last meeting was back in 1997. Good friendly as Kyrgyzstan have really improved since last year.

I think in the future games with Austria, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Armenia will be good too. TM have only played these teams once or twice in the past.

I also really hope Iran sets up friendly matches with likes of Belgium, Switzerland, Finland, Czech Republic, Serbia, Slovenia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Kosovo all of whom TM had no past meetings. Kosovo now is both UEFA and FIFA member so I guess Foreign Ministry can't force IRIFF not go ahead with such friendly

          European based players on Kyrgzstan:
          German Regionliga (4th tier) - 2 player
          Russian FNL (2nd tier) - 1 player
Belarusian Premier League (1st tier) - 1 player
          Serbian SuperLiga (1st tier) - 1 player
Moldova National Division (1st tier) - 1 player
Ukranian First League (2nd tier) - 1 player

For Central Asian standards, the foreign players they have are the 3rd best (after Iran and Uzbekistan), it is not a terrible test, as they have some decent players playing in ok top flights such as Serbia and Belarus, and also Ukraine and Russia who have OK 2nd divisions. If Kyrgzstan played in our group, they could have finished second, so they are not a terrible team, but also not a great team. It will replicate playing against Syria (Kyrgzstan actually would probably be tougher to play than Syria if they were in our group). Macedonia friendly is aimed at getting ready for Uzbekistan, Kyrgzstan for Syria. We need to play countries like UAE or Jordan to replicate Qatar, Thailand to replicate China and countries like Japan, Australia or even Greece or Austria to replicate South Korea.

I think there must be some political or ethnic fear somewhere. Because they systematically don't play each other.
.... At the end I am nothing other than ordinary

lol they also have a player in the Turkish 5th league. Also, I don't think he actually plays for their national team, but in FIFA 16 they have a goalkeeper in the Russian top flight.

We are playing Macedonia #141 and Kyrgyzstan #100 on FIFA rankings
our main group rival S.Korea is playing Czeck republic and Spain
                  Japan plays Bosnia and Denmark
Australia is playing England and Greece team twice
Even stupid Qatar is playing Albania and Tailand

Anyway Nashokri nakonam, at least we got some friendlies but IFF must improve the quality of our future opponents

Not unlikely Abtin jan. Especially after we offered their league one of our top strikers and he delivered with his club.

I can see Iran vs Greece one day. In Tehran or Athens.

Turkey and Iran have been avoiding each other politically, cultural and in sport ever since the Ottoman time. They used to look down to the neighbors in the East and tried to be seen and taken as a serious nation by the Europeans and in particular Germans.
The German made them instead to the clown nation of Europe. Never ever before has a country destroyed another (big) nation’s image as the Germans did to the Turks. The Word Turk is almost synonymous for shit by the Germans.

Turkha hey Almaniha ra maloondan va maloondan akheresh ham be goh keshideh shodan bevasileye hamin Almaniha ....althouth the Turks helped them to rebuild their country efter the second worls war (Turks have been the German allies during the 2 world wars).
Really a pity, and sad in particular that the Turks never learned something from all these bitter experiences in the past.

This is seen by us Iranians as something tragic as well as a little of “Schadenfreude” .

Turkey are not interested in playing any team from West/Central/South Asia who are AFC members. Maybe only Saudi Arabia/UAE/Qatar if they pay them a huge fee
Occassionally they play Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan even those two, they snub. You know what I actually don't care about Iran and Turkey not playing eachother. Iran should concentrate on Greece, Serbia, Slovenia, Finland, Belgium, Switzerland and Baltic Countries all these TM never played.

If it was Year 2014 and Team Melli played Kyrgyzstan then you would have been right. As that time Kyrgyzstan drew and lost to Afghanistan in friendly. Actually Head-To-Head with Afghanistan, Kyrgyz never won. But since 2015, their team has been revolutionised. They narrowly lost to Australia 2-1 and I think they won Jordan and Tajikistan. Before Central Asia teams would be ranked quality-wise as follow: 1) Uzbekistan 2) Kazakhstan 3) Turkmenistan 4) Tajikistan 5) Kyrgyzstan. Now would be: 1) Iran 2) Uzbekistan 3) Kazakhstan(UEFA member) 4) Kyrgyzstan 5) Turkmenistan 6) Afghanistan 7) Tajikistan.
