You must be delusional to think Australia will ever do such a thing.

Iran in semifinal. Then they used William to help Iraq win the game against Iran. Go watch the game once again.

I actually hope we play them on a fifa day soon, we've proven ourselves against all the asian powerhouses in recent years except for them and tbh our current squad is better than theirs.چو ایران نباشد تن من مباد
We thank and support Mr.Kamran Delan for many years of dedication and service to Iranian Football Community.

You also say watch the game again, but I can assure that I have seen the game more than you. So whenever a Australian referee makes an error it is because it was pressured by Australia to do so?
Match-fixing is a serious accusation. IMO, Australians never cheat to win things. Fair play is very well respected here.

him that day?
The lost to south Korea on perpose to avoid Iran in semi final. Imagine what a terible maride would be for Australia if the lose to Iran again in their own home. They did what they could to avoid Iran.

Originally posted by koush22 View PostActually, the 4 commentators and guests were all saying how it was an "embarrassing call" and "the worst call of the tournament" and how Ben Williams always holds similar grudges in the Australian League. One of them shared a couple stories about how Ben always makes bad calls against you if you ever mention his name off the pitch. Although I don't agree with the australian conspiracy theory that has been proposed, to say he had some sort of amazing reputation he needed to uphold is as stupid as his calls against Iran.
Hence, we should blame William's personality for his errors in the game, NOT call it match-fixing deliberately perpetrated by Football Federation Australia just to knock Iran out.

To be clear though, to say the Australian FF conspired against us is a baseless theory and sounds a little too crazy for my tastes.

The authoritative body fined CQ for his comments. Furthermore, though I agree BW clearly had a conflict of interest and should not have been allowed to ref that game, Iran doesn't get any say in who their game's referees are (best they could do is make a complaint).
Please just drop it.

I agree that there was a clear conflict of interest. But I personally blame Iran and AFC for it. Iran for not complaining enough to get the ref changed and AFC for not stepping in to resolve the clear conflict.
I just don't see how Australia would have had any part in it, sorry.
