What? My comment had nothing to do with which country is better at which sport, it was simply a reply to your comment of how Ben Williams errors in the Iraq game was somehow plotted by Australia to kick IRAN out of the tournament.

I also don't believe Ben Williams' doing was because of Australia. But given his history of bad calls and holding grudges I do believe his doing lays on AFC for appointing him for such a crucial match.

Iran in semifinal. Then they used William to help Iraq win the game against Iran. Go watch the game once again.

I'm not sure if you are implying that Australia was knocked out of the tournament, because it then becomes a miracle that they won the whole competition (I think you mean the SK game in the group stage).

You also say watch the game again, but I can assure that I have seen the game more than you. So whenever a Australian referee makes an error it is because it was pressured by Australia to do so?

Match-fixing is a serious accusation. IMO, Australians never cheat to win things. Fair play is very well respected here.

Hence, we should blame William's personality for his errors in the game, NOT call it match-fixing deliberately perpetrated by Football Federation Australia just to knock Iran out.

Agreed. I just disagree he has any sort of reputation worth mentioning, alluding to or upholding.

lol referees can't personally fine anyone....... saying things like this is why people are saying your theory is conspiracy and baseless.
The authoritative body fined CQ for his comments. Furthermore, though I agree BW clearly had a conflict of interest and should not have been allowed to ref that game, Iran doesn't get any say in who their game's referees are (best they could do is make a complaint).

Didnt even give us any of the 6 Arab ones or the Uzbek guy, or the ref they had from New Zealand. They had to choose the guy with a clear conflict of interest?

Don't quote me on this one, but if this tournament is like many other tournaments, the referees are chosen way beforehand. Like: Referee team 1 gets quarter final match 1, referee team 2 gets quarter final match 2, etc. before the teams are clear.
I agree that there was a clear conflict of interest. But I personally blame Iran and AFC for it. Iran for not complaining enough to get the ref changed and AFC for not stepping in to resolve the clear conflict.
I just don't see how Australia would have had any part in it, sorry.
