When will IRAN - AUSTRALIA happen?

My gosh - another world cup draw and it all feels like the same old group. I'm aching for an Iran-Australia match up. When will this happen? Hasn't Australia been in AFC for more than 10 years now.

We better get them in a group of another tournament or I'm gonna resort to a conspiracy theory about how AFC is rigged.

Right now they are affraid of us. You all saw how they used that referee to throw us out of Asian cup.

How many balls are there in the bowl, who is pulling Iran's ball out of the hat? Whose ball is on the line.

These are all questions we should be asking. I demand an Iran vs Australia matchup.

Even a Friendly match could be one for the books.

yea i wish we at least played them in a friendly. I'm tired of playing S. Korea, Qatar, UAE all the damn time.

              Can we not go there!

You clearly don't understand how transparent Australians are in any aspect of our society to believe such a ridiculous idea.

They just lost to Iran in Valiball. In football iran stands top in Fifa Ranking so we are the favourite to win regardless of how
                they think.

                  never..
havent you heard, quit while your ahead..?

i think they are likely the most challenging afc side for us to counter..!!
i'd be nice to meet in a friendly or i suppose sooner or later we will get grouped in some AC tourney..

It could happen sometime next year. It's not unrealistic for teams in Group A to play friendlies vs Group B teams.

The real question is can IFF put it together. I feel like Taj will try his absolute best to satisfy Carlos' needs. If Carlos wants Australia we will most likely see Iran vs Australia. If he doesn't them we won't.

I think just judging by this thread, both sides (Iran and Australian) don't want to face one another. Maybe the 'quit while you're ahead' concept is more true for us but I think they are the tied on difficulty level with Japan and I'm waiting for one soon

Australia's style of play is like England and some other European countries. I think because of that fact, they are harder to beat than Korea / Japan.

I think some are being delusional when they claim that Australia is afraid of Iran or whatever. I mean, come on, they just won the Asian Cup and Western Sydney Wanderers are the reigning Asian club champions. The Socceroos are doing great and rest assured they aren't afraid of anybody. As much as I dislike Ange Postecoglou on a personal level, he has instilled a sense of confidence in the team and they will be extremely difficult to beat in the WCQs.

Frankly, I don't think we can call ourselves number 1 of Asia until we take care of business in front of Australia.

What? My comment had nothing to do with which country is better at which sport, it was simply a reply to your comment of how Ben Williams errors in the Iraq game was somehow plotted by Australia to kick IRAN out of the tournament.

You must be delusional to think Australia will ever do such a thing.
