no team no matter how good they are, can't humiliate us like what Spain did today to South Korea.
We also lost to world cup debutantes Bosnia 3-1. This result will now haunt us for as long as we live. That is humiliation enough for us.
For Korea Republic there is no excuse to lose with such high margin. This is very bad for Asia over all.

Spain played the first team in the first half but they fielded many reserves after the half time.

So called "quality friendlies" are so overrated on here. Guys, you don't get a better team just because you play good sides. If that were true, all the Arab teams would have been far ahead of us by now. Friendlies are nice to look at and important to experiment, but that's it.

It was a pure referring spectacle how S.Korea undeservingly eliminated Spain in that WC.
Not to mention Korea also cheated in the Portugal and Italy game. They are sometimes even worse than the Arabs. The 2014 Asian Games in Korea is the latest example.

Don't act like you are all so mature here that you are ready to play these big teams even if it means a big loss, and that you will somehow learn something from it.

We lost 3-0 to Brazil with arguably when of our weaker squads in a while, and people here were fuming. Not to mention this was a game where we:

                1) Had a good goal from Gholami called offside
                2) Hit the post with Nekounam
                3) Missed a 1v1 with Meydavoudi

                4) This was Karim Bagheri's goodbye game and people were SO UPSET that Ghotbi allowed him to play 20 mins at the end of the game. Apparently instead of honouring one of our greats, we could have used that spare 15 minutes vs Brazil to play a "young player". The funny thing is, the same thing was suggested for a Mahdavikia goodbye game, and th same people were appalled that we would only give 15 mins to Kia during his goodbye game.

Let's not pretend that the majority of this forum has the mental fortitude to put up with a big loss to any team, Spain or not.

After watching the highlights three of the goals were 100% the keepers fault and one was an amazing free kick from long distance. It was more of a fluke than a legitimate 6-1 loss.. hopefully that goal keepers is their 2nd string..

Spain's first goal was unstoppable by any keeper in the world. Reminded me so much of the first goal we conceded against Brazil from Danny Alves.

Very disappointed indeed..was this Koreh or Koreh Khar? how could u play this open against a team like Spain? they are bringing Asia down and wasting money.

I really like how CQ plays the mysterious card as not many teams know much about us that works for us.

from the Korean Highlights it looked like a 1 way traffic all game except mid to late in 2nd half, when the SK got some offensive looks and half chances after Spain had probably subbed in mostly their 2nd stringers..!!?
also FT score shoulda been 7-1 as that Spain's first (disallowed) goal was well on-side and nicely put away..!! also SK keeper looked shaky and for most part soorakh..!
like i said before from us fan's entertainment perspective, it would be great to play such high profile friendlies, but from Preparations perspective, it would be of little use at this juncture for TM..! If we were preparing for WC perhaps..
fact is if we were playing Spain, CQ woulda been forced to play mostly his regular starters and couldnt have dared to experiment much with his squad nor tactically ..! besides as the result indicates we obviously didnt need to test match vs Brazil, italy, germany, Spain to fine tune for facing teams such as gutter/uzbeks or SK which is the other favorite in our WCQ group..!
for the cost of facing such expensive friendly opponents we could be instead having a handful of effective weeklong training camps..!
even if Korean's had won this match, still it wouldnt have helped them much in terms of preparations for Final round of WCQ..! SK federation rather blow a bunch of their football budget on these, mostly useless high profile friendlies, while we are dropping the big bucks keeping employed our world class coach who is very Methodical and Goal Oriented in his team's preparations approach. One who's primarily concern is coming up with affordable methods that helps him best achieve his immediate objectives and also ensure his team's long term success ..!!

They reached the final in the Asian Cup but performance wise they were pretty mediocre. They were totally outplayed by Kuwait and Uzbekistan should have beat them in QF. Australia wasn't impressive neither. We had a great chance to lift the title but Ben Williams destroyed everything.

South Korea is like Man United in Asia, even when they play bad they can still pull wins out last minute.

I am sure they will learn a thing or two from this game.
I don't really believe in the value of friendlies like this, but its better than nothing.

I hope this doesn't make anyone think we'll have an easy game against Korea in WCQ.

They are most productive by serious matches, this game is to be considerd as a testing maneuver and as an operational accident.
However, S-Korea is one of the top teams in Asia, if not the top team right now. We may never underestimate this Team.
