At least South Korea is playing some decent opponents, and they are aiming to improve from it. They are not afraid of getting a decent beating, unlike our coaching staff who rather play the likes of Kyrgyzstan instead of a mid-European side Croatia. I wish we played at least Croatia instead of the useless Kyrgyzstan. We will earn nothing from playing friendlies against mediocre Asian sides. After our 3-1 loss to Bosnia and Sweden I can only conclude we badly need some practice vs. UEFA teams.

We lost 3-0 to Brazil with arguably when of our weaker squads in a while, and people here were fuming. Not to mention this was a game where we:
      1) Had a good goal from Gholami called offside
      2) Hit the post with Nekounam
      3) Missed a 1v1 with Meydavoudi
      4) This was Karim Bagheri's goodbye game and people were SO UPSET that Ghotbi allowed him to play 20 mins at the end of the game. Apparently instead of honouring one of our greats, we could have used that spare 15 minutes vs Brazil to play a "young player". The funny thing is, the same thing was suggested for a Mahdavikia goodbye game, and th same people were appalled that we would only give 15 mins to Kia during his goodbye game.
Let's not pretend that the majority of this forum has the mental fortitude to put up with a big loss to any team, Spain or not.
I can't recall any major disappointment after our 3-1 loss against Sweden. There were even people, praising the performance of the team despite our flaws during that game. Nobody will improve from playing shitty sides like Palestine, Kyrgyzstan our Mozambique. We need friendlies like against Croatia, or Albania and that kind of countries to improve our game.

4 of 6 goals were their goalis fault.
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

I don't know, but if we lost by the same result, a certain group of people would come out of their holes and bash TM and CQ.

They are the same group of people who downplayed our win against Chile by saying that Chile rested their entire starting 11.

This is not the case in Korea. I remember Korea lost 4-0 to Ghana before the WC. Had it been Iran, we would have called for CQ's head.

It was a good match for S. Korea to learn about their weaknesses. I am not sure how much they paid for this match. Cost was probably over one million dollars. Iran does not have this kind of money and can use it more wisely.

Iran needs to test many forms and players. Iran does not need a demoralizing result at this time. Go Team-e Melli.

Why do we always celebrate our Asian counterparts' adversaries? Shouldn't we be more focused on our own victories and achievements celebrations, rather than wasting it on other Asian teams' defeats?

We do exactly what we resent many of these countries football fans do!

They lost a match, big deal, why should we waste our energy on it? More ridiculous is how some of us jump on one another for these countries matches...

IKR. What's this thread even doing in the PERSIAN FOOTBALL DISCUSSION COMMUNITY. If anything, it should have been in the International sport forum.
