Wow. So much hype about rezaian and he's pretty much useless in all dept's.
Where is Ghafouri? He was bombing up and down the right side and impressing everyone just a year ago. Surely he cant be as bad as this rezaian. Heck, nobody can be as bad. He just didnt put one foot right in the entire game!!!
He really showed he's quite dumb too with his insistence on aping ronaldo's goal celebrations when pp desperately needed to score goals. I cant forget how ridiculously funny, while quite pathetic it was to see.


Midfield was dong well while EZ and Dejagah were playing. With Pourghaz and shojaei coming in, it transformed into a low output, slow and error prone midfield. Something for CQ to ponder on


Taromi has the legs, the physique, the pace, the height of a good goal scorer, ... but not the intellect of one.
His missing that sitter shows he's not all that wise. Otherwise he'd have aimed for the reverse angle/corner instead of the middle of the goal. As the ball approaches from the left side, wth the keepers always rushing from left to right side, the easiest and wisest choice is to direct the ball to the left corner of the goal. This shd be instinctive and second nature to any goalscorer, even mediocre ones.

Well at least Taremi position himself properly to have decent chance on goal be it his finishing isn't near sharp enough ..! That was an awful fortuitous save by the keeper on his first attempt & the pass was released bit late on the second & had he scored it woulda likely been called offside.
Ansarifard more often than not can't even put himself in position for a shot on goal. & he has come a long way & improved immensely on that front since his move to Europe but still not enough to rely on in key games coming up.
I'd take Totabi over both shojaeeian and Dejagha anyday. ..! That kid totally sparked out offense in second half & was unlucky not to score . CQ should definitely start him ahead of shojaeeian & Deja for that matter or even ARJ

I gotta say I am pretty impressed by EZ, eversince he took part in TM games months back.
He plays a far mature game for his tender age. He has fantastic physique. Good eye and pretty good with the ball at his feet. All of which makes him a great DM.
But the most impressive for me is his passing. For a young player and for a DM to show such vision in passing, it would gladden any coach's heart. And he's shown such passing in his other games too. So it cant be a fluke or one off. (kudos to Atletico academy for honing his skills)

He is in the form of Ghasem Hadadifar type of midfielder, but with superior physique. The kind of midfielder who can play in a very wide circle in the middle of the pitch. As low as an out-n-out DM stuck to the defense line to even as an attacking mid up the field.
There arent that many defensive mids who can pass like this. And he belongs to a very limited group of mids.


Add his youth and his height, ... well , ... These are world class attributes that just about any coach in europe would be drooling over. And if he keeps up, soon we shd see him in really top notch european club's roster.

We played better in the 2nd half. If the so called offside goal was given and the other chances converted we would have scored another 4 in the 2nd half. Ezathllahi got better as the game went on but was committing too many unnecessary fouls. With the injection of Torabi and Milad the left attack pick up very well. However Milad was selfish a few times going for goals from tight angles when he had free players in the middle.

Overall a good game. after a while all the goals have been scored from open play. TM was great in attack with Azmoun in great touch but defence was shaky at times.

Not trying to come to Rezaeiyan's defense, as I too pointed out his terrible display. However in all fairness in regards to that celebration scene, he already cleared it out by saying that when he converted that PK, he was unaware of Esteglal Khuzestan's goal and was under impression that with this goal Perspolis' championship was in hand. Quite honestly that celebration implied this way nonetheless.

We didn't have this depth in our squad and were way too tired after the Argentina game. I remember how panicky we became when a player was injured.
