Good game. The Givova kits weren't as bad as I thought they would be. To be honest, they actually looked fairly decent, but they could definitely be less bland.

I agree that Iran is the stronger team. But we beat them on their turf and a little humility is good. Brazil NT is the most desired team for any friendly and it is not because of their stye or strength. They make it entertaining without rubbing it on the host's face. People like and respect that.

I think we Iranians pay too much attention on words and what others think of us. Let TM actions speak for itself. I look forward to see Iran ranking improve to the top 20 under CQ or another capable coach. After all wining and losing can become a habit.

I didn't watch every minute but here's what I noticed.
Azmouns finishing has improved so much. Afarin.

Taremi has a good positioning and team play mindset, but he really needs to take half a second more and think about where he is shooting. He shot straight at the keeper like 4 times.

Mohammadi and torabi are both great.

Hajsafi was so much better at LW and much better than Amiri.

Rezaian was doing some really stupid shit today. He did a couple dumb moves and clearances. He is too nervous to be a defender. I miss ghafouri. He was a tank.

Ezatollahi has proven that he is consistent as a 19 year old can be. He will bulldoze Asian teams for a generation.

Montazeri seems to be his normal calm self.

Overall a good game, the macedonians are certainly better than their ranking shows.

Seems like I am the only one who is not fond of Givova kits. To me they look lower quality, from the fashion point of view you can tell it's a not too well tailored and fit jersey, also the way it sits so stiff on the players' body, especially around the neck area, it reminds me of those fake jerseys you buy at Walmart for $10. Fake jerseys/T-shirts usually have uneven and rough edges around neck and also shoulders, and I see it with these kits.

Also design-wise it offers absolutely nothing, at least with Uhlsport there were some subtle nice strokes on the jerseys with our flag colors, not to mention that beautiful Cheetah picture imprinted on the front I For I truly wished the imbeciles at IFF would have made it our signature on all upcoming kits)
Anyway sorry, but I don't like it a tad!

Please don't mind him. He often makes rude and very immature comments for warrants warning or/and even ban, however he gets away with them all.

The huge part of newer generation of Iranians unfortunately lack respect, and consider disrespecting others is a cool trend, which is the sad part about them!

I understand what you mean by weep for Iran. Obviously you mean to say that Iran and Iranian teams have won nothing in decades either, I do realize that. But that was not my point doste aziz, my point is that an Englishman is making fun of Iranians as though they and their teams have been winning everything.

With the amount of monies the English have spent and continue to spend on the sport, one would assume they'd have shown at international stage at all levels. But all they are is talk, and talk is cheap.

I love the fact that we won with a good margin, however what bothers me is how CQ (with all respect to his knowledge, CV and abilities) puts us down in front of all audience and pretend that Iran is a backward soccer nation that played against Europeans and learned much. I am not the only one who is in AWWWW of such attitude. I am not the only one who is shocked of his comments when he said we learned a lot from playing a European team!!!! even the Macedonian reporter asked with a shocking tone: "well! what could you even learn from Macedonia team?" And he goes and puts Iran down and exaggerates and magnify Macedonian power.

This should be stopped guys and it is our responsibility to bring it up to him!

Asia is a big continent with great teams like Korea, Iran, japan, Australia and Even Saudis and Uzbeks. Macedonia is not even in the same level as Qatar! They may hardly beat Qatar or even tie with it! Any of the top Quartet of Asia will beat Macedonia comfortably. ENOUGH OF PLAYING THE MINNOWES

With all due respect aras jan you got to be more observant than that, despite the fact that they were certainly not nearly as good as we were they still play a different brand of football than any of our Asian opponents - more specifically they gave us far less time on the ball which was why our team was forced to make quick decision making and quick passes. You're not going to get that from any Asian team aside from Japan, Australia or SK. In other words almost no Asian team would challenge us in that aspect. If you look at his official Facebook he specifically clarifies that and he is 100% right

Merci Keano jaan, you are a gentleman. Though I don't post that much anymore, I visit PFDC and the forums often and I've always enjoy your thoughtful posts. Yours and few other PFDC old timers, and some new ones as well.

E.g trollfootball, sportsbible or betting companies (the tweet that got you upset). They are primarily known for their comical posts and make fun of everything possible, in order to get more followers and views which equals more exposure. It's all a bit of harmless fun.

Now having said that, you shouldn't get upset what one tweet says otherwise if that's the case then you really shouldn't bother coming online.

Thank you for your mature reply Mr. Pouya. As mentioned previously, I was not at all upset about the one post, I was doing the exact same thing that you are doing now, in that, I was trying to explain to our friend who posted the tweet not to read too much into it and not get himself too upset over what he said.

Don't really need to beat a dead horse at this point.

As for my age, I'm an oldtimer and know how the current generation and social media works. I'm old enough to have watch TM play her first WC matches in 1978 live on TV, and have two kids in highschool my friend.

Mate. It was a betting company's joke on twitter, it really wasn't personal. They said it because it doesn't look like an interesting match for a neutral, and it doesn't. I don't understand what the fuss about. If you want to compare international success, they are far ahead of us. A failure to them is only going to the last 16 in a world cup, which is our dream at the moment. I digress, head-to-head comparisons have nothing to do with this. Iran v Macedonia looks a ridiculous fixture to most football watchers. Iran vs Nigeria looked a ridiculous fixture to them and that was the champions of Africa vs the #1 team in Asia. But again, it wasn't personal.
