We are not Spain. Why not ask how the heck did Georgia manage to arrange a friendly with Spain and we can only get Macedonia and Krygystan

I find it ok for spain but not iran. Why? Because as I said earlier, spain players are used to play competitive games in their clubs and as a team when spain play the like of England italy etc.. in friendly regularly.
For Iran it is different, our players mostly play in a weak league the few legionnaires we have dont play in top 4 league nor in champions league (hardly in europa league). The national team mostly play weak wcq games average friendlies or sometimes no friendlies at all. We spent the last season playing the like of turkmenistan, india, guam, I don't get the point to add weak games.


You told about confidence but also be aware of overconfidence (we are used to have) with these big easy wins that make people think even ansarifard, Haghighi (GK wasn't tested at all in the last game) and shojaei became good. The weak up could be brutal specially when you see players like Rezaian celebrating like CR7 while his team need more goals for a league title.

The options after the cancellation of Norway where not to play a second game at all or to play Kygyzstan. In that case the latter was fine.

If we look back at the past 2 years, I think we had better friendly opposition as we usually have, so nothing to worry about.

No sensible team or coach would face big teams days before a major tournament. fears of injury, loss of morale, ... are key.
so we shdnt base anything on such games.


IDEALLY in any campaign, early on it is better to start low (to get the team coordinated, get to work on your tactics, try out players and formations and style, ...) even experiment. - Initial phase


then slowly build up to face more decent and bigger teams. You build up on your ideas and overall team strategies. - Build up phase


maybe a month or so before the tournament it would be good to face a couple of tough tests to evaluate the result of all your work and how the team has geled or how the team performas facing adversity and how they react under pressure ... giving you enough time to address those concerns. - Test & evaluation phase


then as we get close to the tournament, again lower the quality of the opponents which serves to keep and maintain the team in form and do the fine tuning with little risk of loss of morale or injury. Maintain form

to me that' s the most sensible and intelligent planning for a campaign -
