[Friendly] Iran vs Kyrgyzstan 07-06-2016 Live Report

Haghighi managed to look shaky against a 3rd grade Asian opponent that basically never creates a serious threat on Iran goal, he needs to be put on the bench during the entire remaining matches of the qualifiers.

He completely lost any sort of form he may have once had

I was at the stadium and he only touched the ball like two times. Not sure why you think he was shaky.

While I'm not completely sold on Beiranvand I'd have to still agree with you, ARH has been looking very shaky in his last few TM performances and his club performances have been poor.

On the other hand Masoud has looked great, he did pretty well against Macedonia too. Suddenly he's playing with so much hunger and energy, a lot of one-touch give and go's and beautiful passes and dribbles. I haven't seen him like this since 08, I would replace him with Cashkan against the Qatar if he keeps this up.

I can't remember last time we had 3 great choices up front in Karim and Taremi and Sardar. Yes the first two wasted some goal scoring chances but they also created a lot with their speed and pressing.
Will be a good headache for coach to find ideal line up with too many options, something we didn't have luxury to have back to not long time a go, now we have at least 3-4 decent players in each position, if one goes down another can stand up and replace him.
          Keepers: Mazaheri, Beiranvand, Haghighi
Right back: Danial Mahini, Vouria, Rezaein
Central defenders: Seyed Jalal, Montazeri, Tayyebi, Pourghaz, PAG
          Left backs: Milad Mohammadi, Hajsafi
          DM: Ando, Kamyabinia, Ebrahimi,Ezzatollahi, Cheshmi
Right & left wingers: JB, Torabi, Dejagah, Amiri, Alishah
CAM: Shojaei, Shojaeian, Soroush, Bakhtiar, Pahlavan
Forwards: karim, Taremi, Sardar, Mehrdad Mohammadi, Kaveh Rezaei, Gucci

I thought Karim played a fine game... He has quite a good chemistry with Taremi and Torabi. Sure the finishing wasn't there, but when you get yourself in great positions to score, you are bound to have some success.

Another thing to note: Look how strong his passing has become. As a striker, he also has the ability to play a quick passing game which is a huge asset. Overall I don't think there was anything wrong with the way he played today. He did his job and displayed some great chemistry with the duo of T&T. The beauty of playing with more forwards is that the pressure is no longer solely on one guy.

Also I'd like to take this chance to remind people not to forget about Gucci. People seem to be writing him off already, and I will say point blank right now that Gucci will play a big role in our qualifying success.

Haha, "marde porteghali" ehsas pyambari dard fun:

Most INTERESTING player was Mehdi Torabi. What a player. It was delightful to watch how he run through the opposite players.

Best player in the second half was Dejagah. He is the engine of team melli. A true fighter & had impacts in all goals. Sure he lost some balls, but he was the one who won them back with ease.

Azmoun & Ezzatolahi are just the best iranian players overall. I like Azmouns cheeky behaving. He is fun to watch, even sitting on the bench.

I am more than confident we will qualify for World Cup. From all the teams that are in our group, only Iran stood out. However, the question should be asked, are we finally good enough to reach the next stage? Every World Cup we get closer and closer.

I agree with your comment about Gucci. When it comes down to the wire, we have two spear heads that we can depend on. One being Gucci and the second being Sardar. I am a big fan of Taremi, but his finishing is not there yet and I am afraid when we really need a score he might not be able to deliver. I am not sure about Ansarifard, I remember when he got all the buzz about being the next Ali Daei, but since I started watching him play, I have yet to see him deliver a big play.
