What an amazing documentary. I was always hoping something like this would be made with unseen footage!

In episode 12, you will learn that IFF has remained stagnant since the 1980's. Complaints about kit quality were rampant during this time. The excuse then was the war effort and until recently sanctions.

Episode 19 Mayeli Kohan denies all the rumors people made about him such as:
            Extra long Doaye Komeil Sessions
            Asking players to grow beards
            General religious morality stuff...

            I believe him.

2 thoughts after watching up to part 20...

Mayeli Kohan despite what you think of him now was really treated poorly by IFF...he is creditted by the players and media as bringing in youth talent despite popular sentiment to go with the older generation...think about it, Daei, Azizi, Mmkia, Bagheri, all called up during his time!

Anyone else find it funny that some interviews are done in front of a Las Vegas strip poster with Ballys Casino in prominent view of camera angles??? Lol

Daei was invited by Parvin for first time in 1993(because of his amazing club performance with Tejarat and not because Parvin was his fan), same as Bagheri, Parvin invited 19 years old Bagheri during WC1994Q and he even played against SK as left back if my memory helps me.
Azizi was getting the call since 1993-1994 on & off but he shined with Persepolis as Yaar-e- Komaki during ACL and was re-invited by Mayeli.
However he invited bunch of very young players all around 20 such as Kia, Yazdani, Majidi, Minavand and actually played most of them during tournament, if i am not wrong Yazdani even missed the P.K in semi vs Saudi. Show how much trust a coach put on 18-19 years old kid.

Yes that is true...but the players listed became regulars under MK. He didn't just use them here or there or place them on the bench...he truly made them the backbone pf TM.

so is this documentary ending with Episode 26 (WC 2006)? That would be a shame as I really wanted to know the behind the scene stuff during WC 2010 and AC.
