He won’t get called up for the WC. Especially not after getting Spain and Portugal. Plus he’s not an Iranian by law. Still to get his passport.

Passport isn't the issue. They can get that for him in less than a week (like they did for Ghoddoos). Instead he just doesn't seem to be in the plans at least for WC.

Possibly. However, I believe Ghoddos’ parent already had Iranian passports. I’m not sure if Tafazolli’s dad does.

He at some point must have if he left Iran.

Yeah but he may not have renewed his passport once it expired

Renewing/getting a passport from Iran is easy as long as you have a shenashnameh and aren't political or didn't commit a crime in Iran.

                Bachelot,
I know a few folks who left the country without completing sarbazi, and they eventually aged out of being a sarbaz, or a parent passed away so they were able to get exemption.

This victory takes Peterborough United into the promotion play off spots, however, Ghoochannejhad's old team Charlton Athletic have a game in hand against league leaders Wigan Athletic on Friday. Let's hope they lose, I really want him to get into the Championship and play against higher quality opposition.

He used to play for Newcastle, was a decent centre back in his day, doing good for Peterborough and helping Tafazolli a lot.

He has to sign with a new team, Peterbrough are awful. He's ready enough for the Championship.
