I think he will get his chance. I think he will be tested. Maybe a Beitashour/Davari scenario, where Carlos opens his book again and gives Tafazolli and a few others a call. But we've been doing so well (player quality wise) that I doubt any of these cats will get invited. But then again Carlos has always said that Team Melli's door is open to any Iranian willing to fight for the red white and green.

"Maddison was denied a fourth-minute assist when Ryan Tafazolli’s close-range header was well-saved by Vigouroux.
Apart from a flurry of second-half corners, most of which ended up on Tafazolli’s head, Swindon couldn’t sustain any sort of pressure in their bid for a comeback."

"Ben Gladwin continued where he left off against Bolton Wanderers last week and launched another Town attack with a superb ball to John Goddard, who in turn found Luke Norris in the box, but Tafazolli got in a superb last-ditch block."

"Defender Tafazolli should have made the win even more commanding but put a free header wide from Maddison's free-kick."

Peterborough lost at home to MK Dons 0:4. They are now in 9th, 4 points off the last play-off spot and have a game in hand:
"Central defender Ryan Tafazolli was the man most in possession for Posh which proves how patient (or negative depending on your point of view) the team’s passing was."

"Defensive blocks from Michael Bostwick, Ryan Tafazolli and Jerome Binnom-Williams had helped protect Posh ‘keeper Luke McGee for most of the first hour.

"Are Peterborough United back on track after beating Port Vale following a disappointing January?
Following a very disappointing January where Posh picked up just four points from a possible 15 it was a relief to see February start off with an impressive looking result.
Dominic Ball and Ryan Tafazolli (again!) stood head and shoulders above the rest and they combined well and stopped the opposition from breaking through."

"Tears of joy accompany a vital victory
"The start of Posh legend Craig Mackail-Smith’s third spell at London Road and a mighty defensive effort from man-of-the-match Ryan Tafazolli and co.
A three-goal margin of victory flattered Posh and also took attention away from the efforts of Tafazolli and the rest of his back four. They met every cross into the box - and there were a lot of them - with purpose and power and if the ball then fell to a home player, they were happy to throw themselves in front of shots at goal."

"BIG MATCH PREVIEW: Tafazolli will have ‘fire in his belly’ for Blades visit
Ryan Tafazolli is head and shoulders above these Notts County players.
Ryan Tafazolli insists the Posh back four will cope with the challenge of facing one of League One’s most dangerous strike pairings when leaders Sheffield United visit the ABAX Stadium on Saturday (February 11).
Posh centre-back Tafazolli hasn’t played against either man - he was injured when the Blades beat Posh 1-0 at Bramall Lane in September - but he is certain to be well prepared for one of the biggest games of the season. “We will watch clips of both of them in action,” Tafazolli stated. “We will be prepared and we will be confident of winning our battle. “Sharp is one of the best finishers in the division and we can’t afford to give him any room, while Hanson is big and strong, but myself and Dominic Ball have developed a good understanding already. “We complement each other well. Dominic is quick and reads the game well. He’s good on the ball, but he’s also prepared to stick his head in where it hurts.

James Hanson in action for Bradford City against Posh last season. “We’re all well up for this game. It’s one we all want to play in. It’s a game to put fire into your belly. “We’re playing the best side in League One and it’s sure to be a big crowd and a great occasion. “Sheffield will have over 4,000 fans cheering them on, but I know our supporters will match that support and get right behind us. “It was a big win for us at Port Vale last weekend and now we want to start getting our home form right. “I don’t believe there is any one reason why we’ve won more away games than home matches. I’m sure it’s just a co-incidence. “We have played some good stuff at home in games we haven’t won, but we know we have to start picking up three points at our place more regularly if we are to get into the play-off places. “I know it’s a cliche, but my own form is not as important as the team’s form. If we’re winning then I’m happy. “I’ve done okay in some games, but it’s not something I dwell on as long as the manager keeps picking me.” Tafazolli moved to Posh on a free transfer from League Two side Mansfield in July."
