Huge compliment. He's great with young players and scouting.
He's the reason we have Taremi in Persepolis. Most of the other PGPL clubs don't even pay attention to Azadegan League.

I suppose its objective... but I don't think I'm alone in that sentiment.

Potential: Can be the best ever Iranian player

Reality: Depends on how fast he can get to Europe

Sharifi is extremely talented. Similar style Max Meyer, Max Arnold, Thiago, etc a midfielder who is very capable of scoring and assisting but doesnt have to play CAM. He can go really far if he gets to europe. Saipa have so much young talent currently. Their average age is just 23.8 yrs old. Akhbari at GK. Defense : Taha Shariati, Danial Mahini, Kanaani, Daneshgar, Faraji, Ali Shojaei, Aliari. Midfield : Sharifi, Soltanhimehr, Torabi . Forwards :Jafari, Gholizadeh, and an older but very good Abbaszadeh ( 28). They seem to be having a good preperation and daei will certainly give a lot of youth a chance. They will be exciting to see this year.

This is the same list Shekari was on a couple years back right? I hope sharifi can shine in this U17 WC and move to Europe immediately. I wonder what Italian and German clubs are watching him

Lets just hope Berdyiev doesn't get his hands on him.

Agha, Johnny Duerden is persona non grata amongst some of our friends here. Don't mention his articles

Seriously though, Iran is the only nation that he has featured every year since this list was first created in 2015, not even his wife's beloved South Korea.

And I think his work in hyping up iranian players (Shekari, Soltani Mehr, now Sharifi) and previously writing so many articles about Mahdavikia, Karimi etc... easily outweighs any twitter spats he has with people. No one cares about that, but clubs and scouts read these kinds of articles so they have an impact.

Hopefully Sharifi gets out of Iran and SS Khuz ASAP and into Europe (not Russia) sooner rather than later. Sardar and Ezzatollahi pretty much made their moves at 17/18 so he needs to make his move now and not do anything stupid like Shekari did.
