Jahanbakhsh's kit probably sells as many or more than Weghorst, so let's be honest that selling shirts isn't a big deal. Iranians worldwide buy our handful of Euro players kits. How many people do you think are buying a random Dutch AZ Alkmaar players' jersey? Maybe his family and friends? It's like somebody buying a Pourgaz jersey in Iran. You could, but why? So many other more popular players to buy kits of.
It's not kits, it's relationships. Iranians are building a name in Europe. Guys like Sardar staying away from big teams has a ripple effect that harms our other players. If we had a bunch of breakout players in big teams, other big teams will buy our players. Nations like Algeria have had this trend. If Sardar were to move to a big club and succeed, then there would be more faith in other Iranians. That is the only way for nations without economic influence to do it. Building a reputation. Our reputation is growing in leagues like Greece and Russia, but no real reputation in the big leagues for a decade.

All these teams don't want to put up with the baggage that comes with Iranian players.
None of our players can play ISRAEL. If any of these teams are drawn in games with teams from Israel in champions league or Europa league, they will get a lot of negative publicity.
That is the main reason.
End of day, there are a lot of Jewish investors in these teams, and they don't want Iranian players.

Damn
A big reason for his last year's scoring record was a strong supporting cast that serviced him offensively. He may well struggle to reach those record high goal tally if heeerveen don't replace their quality AM options. ..!?
Ps
Shirt sales mostly & primarily benefit$ the shirt Brand & then to much lesser degree the sponsors appearing on the kit & the club itself...! A particular brand most often just agrees to pay a set annual sponsorship fee to a club for sponsoring them, in addition to providing the entire team with kits for the season, off course ..!
Clubs' main source of income anymore is their share of the often hefty TV Broadcast right$$$..! The higher profile the team & the more star players on their squad, usually the more frequently their games would feature on PrimeTime & the fatter Broadcast rights kickback$$ to them ..!
IRIB makes a fk-ton of advertising money every year by broadcasting European league & CL/EUROPA leagues without paying for its broadcast rights, because they have zero respect for international business rights ..!
They do the same shitt with PGL clubs ..!plus off course, all the other big companies lucrative sponsorship deals with EU clubs as explained by Afta earlier ..! Etc.
