PSV was head and shoulders above everyone last season, including Ajax and Feyenoord. They only lost to Atletico Madrid in the R16 @ CL after penalties.

They had / have players who are good enough for top 5 leagues, but Eredivisie itself has huge gap in quality after the top 3 teams.

It is a very average league at best and whoever says it is a top league has lost their mind.

It seems that Holland has made a fall in the UEFA country coefficient rankings as well:

These are official UEFA coefficient rankings man. On European level, Czech and Belgian clubs perform better than Holland nowadays which says a lot unfortunately.

Well the EPL might be stronger than the dutch league and other leagues below but that is only because of its financial power. The EPL is actually decreasing in overall quality and is now behind the 2 leagues that produce the most, best talented youngsters (Spain and Germany). Everyone likes to talk about EPL being more competitive but that is because the overall quality of all of their teams has decreased to a point where not even one of their teams can consistently perform in the league (which makes sense when you notice that they have no teams capable of putting up a serious fight to win the champions league....they have no team of such caliber - like Bayern, Barca, Atletico, Real Madrid)

beside atletico, real barca and bayern have all the best players, i do agree english league is not strong in europe any more

Yeah exactly and these teams (well mainly Bayern) didn't always have all of the best players....they built up to the point where players are now attracted at the prospect of playing at one of these clubs. 10 years ago, guardiola would not have considered bayern..same goes for players like Thiago, xabi alonso, douglas costa, renato sanches -- in the past, players like this would have gone to teams like, barca or real madrid.

Bayern has this appeal now because of their improvement over the years, which started with production of amazing youth players (Muller, shcweinsteiger, lahm, badstuber) and young players which they put a lot of trust in (alaba, kroos, kimmich).

The German league and Spanish league simply run their leauges in a much more effective way than EPL, who mainly cares about instant profit.

Again if it is base on performance Olympiacos did really well few season ago in CL, but traditionally speaking and base on consistency, that is how the ranking should look like:
1.La Liga
2. EPL
3. Bundelsiga
4.Series A
5.France
6.Portugal
7.Russia
8.Holland
9.Turkey
10.Greece
11.Belgium
12.Swiss
13.Ukraine
14.Austria
15.Croatia
16.Czech
Again you can change top 4 the way you like or switch France with Portugal but no way Holland league, as bad as it can be, is worse than Czech league.
