Isn't it EU players, not european, hence balkan players count as non european?

Pretty sure nearly all Balkan footballers were born/grew up in places like Germany and Switzerland. Hence, they probably all hold some sort of EU passport.

That's a translation mistake, because in the original sources there is no word about Mahdavikia recommending Saeid to Hamburg.

Nope they aren't . At first they played really bad bzt the last games were actually really good. Sakai is now captain and since he got this new role HSV has played pretty good.
It's easy to look at the standings and come to a conclusion, but not always right
