That's a big if....not that I don't think he can do it, but his RPL numbers are not good at al this season or at least not good for the kind of reputation he has established for himself after last season.

if you remember, sardar was also poor statistically at the beginning of last season. In the second half he took, and that when he scored almost all his goals. Rostov look way more in sync than in the start of the season, and seem better prepared to succeed on multiple fronts. They looked very sharp against sparta prague ( a decent team, beat inter milan) and were creating many chances. I think azmoun will certainly get into double digits for goals in all competitions. Hopefully he can hit around 10 in RPL, already has five in european competetions, so if he can score 3 or 4 more there ( if rostov keep advancing) i think he can end season with 15 plus goals.

I will say tho generally speaking sardar is also the type of striker who helps the attacking front of his team a lot.

And by that I mean many times he starts the attacks, many times his creativity opens up the opponents.


He might not score the highest number of goals but anyone who watches him play knows he's brilliant.

He has either scored/assisted every 167 mins this season (RPL, CL, EL). Very good stats for a 21/22 year old, playin for a defensive team like Rostov.
