We need more players in the Turkish league. It is a perfect base to launch our players into better European leagues...

A lot of players are leaving Iran to go play in Europe, even for lower European teams... it shows how mature they are, as they understand they have to climb a ladder to be successful... and it also shows how badly they want to leave Iran.

I'm very happy with this move, I hope more of our younger players follow suit.

And even Qatar has a player in La Liga! As I said before, we are treated very unfairly compared to other big 4 teams in Asia.

      Ryan (Valencia)
      Kruse (Leverkusen)
      Leckie (Ingolstadt)

      Jedinak (Crystal Palace)

Mehdi Taremi & Ramin Rezaeian @ Caykur Rizespor | 2016-17

Can the downers of Pfdc please have a reality check. Was taremi supposed to go to one of the four or five big teams In turkey ? With strikers like van Persie, Samuel eto'o, podolski, and mario Gomez ? Are you guys even living in reality ? If taremi performs well in his first year maybe he can be considered for a better team but scoring 15 or so goals in the IPL does not warrant a team better than rizepor

Lol finally someone with sense, this guy has been unreliable for TM with his lacklustre finishing. Needs to prove himself in smaller teams before thinking about bigger teams.

Honestly I can't understand why ppl would think this isn't a good move for Taremi. Everyone who is saying he had better offers....of the ones we know were legit he had:
                - PAOK
                - Gymnastic
                - Pacos Ferreira
                - Philidelphia Union

Which one of those 4 would have been better? Maybe if he waited longer, and that's a big maybe, he could've gotten a big team in Holland or Maybe a good Russian side but even then I wouldn't say it'd be a big difference. I know Trazbonspour was interested but I don't think the difference between them and Rizespour is that big. Like kiarash said a few days ago, turkey is an ideal starting point for Iranians going to Europe because:

                - it's close to home
                - culturally somewhat similar
                - definitely get paid decently, more so than these other offers.
                - will be playing against some quality opposition (besiktas, Trazbonspour, fenerbache, galatasary) and if they do well they'll get interest from these teams, and if they perform again then they'll have serious offers from bundesliga, EPL, serie a teams. It's attainable for Taremi for sure but he's got to prove it on the pitch.

I think this is a perfect move for both. I'm very happy for rezaeian too because he was starting to become similar to heydari in his last TM games and towards the end of the season for Persepolis was becoming accustomed to sending in useless cross after useless cross....that won't fly in turkey. His coach will rip him into shreds....if he can maximize his potential he will be GREAT.
Add also that these two won't feel the loneliness which has been an issue with Iranian players since they are not used to it. I guess thats one of the main reason why at least Taremi did choose this club above some better offers so he can be together with Rezain and life would be much easier.

I am happy for this move. I like Turkish league and I think it is a great door-opener for our players to go to better teams if they do well.

I am so happy for both of our TM players. Taremi will go on face to face with high quality defenders and goalkeepers like: Simon Kjaer, Aurelien Chedjou, Muslera and Volkan Babacan, Ramin has to deal with top guys like Nani, Quaresma, Podolski and Volkan Sen. Both of these guys will get so much experience which will help TM a lot.
Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies.

I agree , this move is good for them and if they do well for future prospects.
Perspolis won't miss Ramin ( Mahini / Moharrami are good ) but there are not that many alternative in Iran for Taremi.

I hope they both do well as they will represent Iran in Turkish league.

You should visit BlackSea region. There is a vacation package including Trabzon, Bolu, Rize and also Batumi(Georgia) this reagon is known for it's jungles and lakes. Only natural beauties

So going to a Turkish league team that consistently finishes around 10th-13th , is better than staying in Petspolis ???

Their league is better than IPL. He should go and experience something different .
