Alex scored the opening goal in Bolton W's U21 FA Youth Cup match against Blackpool which they won 2:1:
"In attack, Wanderers were quite content to let their pacy forwards do their bidding. Alex Samizadeh – one of three players in the side with first team experience this season – was a constant menace hanging on the shoulder of Blackpool defender Williams.
Though the Iran-born striker remains a work in progress in some areas of the pitch, his single-mindedness around the penalty box does suggest a player with a big future at Wanderers. And it was his dogged determination which led to the opening goal.
A long ball over the top caught Williams napping and allowed Samizadeh to get goal-side."

HITC Sport had a Q&A with a lifelong Bolton Wanderers supporter. This is what the fan had to say about Alex:
"Q: Is there a particular youth player that excites you, and why?
A: Alex Samizadeh. Scoring freely in the youth squad and Bolton are in dire need of a goal scoring striker. Personally don’t think he’s ready for the first team yet, but give him time."

He scored on his debut.
And damn, I want him to get playing time, but a 6th division club team? Really?
