Fenerbahce would be an upgrade from AZ but idk if I can say the same about Celtic. The Scottish League is pretty amateurish outside of Celtic. At least the defenses he'll be up against will be decent in the Turkish league. But there are rumours that Celtic might move to the BPL. If the rumours end up being true, then it would be a good move for Jahanbakhsh. Otherwise, he should stay at AZ or go to Fenerbahce (if he doesn't have offers from the top leagues).

Fenerbache might be an upgrade but its an upgrade with a much lower ceiling than other potential moves. He needs to move to a club or a league which lays out a path for him to progress and move to a top tier team in the future.

WOW: What a racist statement in the article:

"The only people relieved that Celtic did not manage to lure Alireza Jahanbakhsh to Glasgow would have been the doting parents of young supporters. Imagine having to pay through the nose for that name on the back of your eight year old’s replica kit."

the writer is just saying the name is long and often you have to pay per letter on jerseys...

My bad if I'm wrong, you're talking about knock-offs? Usually all cost the same where I'm from.

Where the phook do people buy jerseys from where they charge you by letter? Never experienced such a thing before

i've seen it both ways on different online shops. in this case i think the writer is just referring to the high cost of customizing a jersey with a long last name and making a joke that parents are relieved. i don't think there is bad intentions.

It's funny that Brighton finished the 2014-2015 season at 20th place, just six points above relegation to League One.

Then AJ rejects them, and they go on to finish 3rd and 1st in the next two seasons.

Can't really blame him though, Brighton were last in the top division of England 34 years ago.

BTW, his replacement transfer was French right winger, Anthony Knockaert who has won the Championship's 'Player of the Season' award. He currently has 15 goals, and 9 assists this season.

Celtic is a good team, but the league is poor.

Fenerbache is a very good team, in all honesty, and I do think that at the moment turkish league may be better than dutch, but I don't want him to move there.
The situation in Turkey isn't very good, and its very corrupt.

IMHO the most logical move for ARJ would be a mid table bundesliga team, maybe even Serie A.

next best place for jahanbaksh is spain or germany.. Scottish or english leagues are not his style and its a waste of development....

French Ligue 1... Best fit and best chance of success. EPL may be too difficult for JB.. Bundesliga and La Liga/Serie A would be nice too.

Ligue 1 or lower Bundesliga teams would be the perfect next step for Ali.
