JB mentioned multiple times that the team had not gotten over their cup loss and werent playing anywhere near their potential vs nec and that speaks volumes of their coach's abilities..!!
that team needs a shock badly , eventhough not much left of the season, id boot out the coach and try to at least get some spark flying to help them at least close the season strong and hopefully qualify for Europa..!! as things going, most likely they will loose out on Europa spot as well, and in that case Alireza really needs to look to get the fk outa dodge this summer..!

Alireza Jahanbakhsh @ AZ Alkmaar | 2016/17
^ He's on 9 goals and 8 assists now, these are good stats for a winger. I'm sure he will have the calibre of teams like Atlanta, Deportivo La Coruna, Bournemouth and Hamburg chasing him.
The question is, does he sees a future in AZ? After all he signed for 5 years and it's just his 2nd season. He thought he would achieve lots of success with AZ but in reality they are just a 4-8th ranked Eredivisie team. Perhaps food for thoughts.

I'm almost certain he'll leave in the summer if he gets an offer from a top flight English or Spanish club. He didn't go to Brighton because he didn't want to play championship level football. He'd have earnt more there than at AZ.
We just have to accept that if he moves he'll probably be a squad player at least for the first season. He can't walk into any premier league starting xi. This in turn could be problematic next summer.

They could have achieved a lot more with an even average defense.

he apparently has 9-11 mil transfer price tag hanging over him and still 3 years left on his AZ contract.
fair to assume if he goes it'll likely be to a EPL mid tabler ..? other leagues dont spend that kind of money on players with still some questions hanging over their head..!
and i also doubt he would be a regular starter in EPL but he has the work ethic to strive towards and achieve it..! he has the Pace and tenacity for EPL but not so sure he can handle the physicality of it and stay healthy enough to make a big impact..?

They are NOT. Top-4 Eredivisie this season is clearly made up by the traditional 3 (Ajax, PSV, Feyenoord) AND FC Utrecht.
After the best 3 in the Eredivisie you have teams such as Vitesse, FC Twente (before money problems and probaly after it), AZ, SC Heerenveen and even FC Utrecht and/or FC Groningen fighting for the 4th till 8th spot.
The you have teams like PEC Zwolle, Heracles, ADO Den Haag, Willem II that CAN have a great season and bother them for those spots or fight for 10th till 14th spot.
relegation teams are teams like Sparta, Roda JC and NEC. Next season probaly also VVV and maybe Cambuur.Iran deserves better, TM deserves better.
O.G from '97 & still here

Only english clubs would be willing to pay that price
lower/mid table clubs in other leagues have to be more careful with their money and if they do spend it they have to be very sure. JB is promising but is not a sure thing from an outsider's perspective
If he doesn't go to Wolfsburg or something, he'll have to choose between staying in the Erdevise for another season or going to EPL. Personally I don't want to see him lost in the haze of the EPL
