That was stupid, i don't see IR tolerate it and that can be end of his TM career. Something went wrong with this guy in last couple years, what a player he was, sad..

I think this is important to post, no matter what the regime stance is on alchohol. He was drunk driving man he could have put others peoples lives at risk just because he is an idiot himself. Hope he gets punished as he should

Very stupid move by him, it's already all over the troublemaking Iranian media he will unfortunately pay for this in Iran
چو ایران نباشد تن من مباد

He would pay for this anywhere in the world to be honest.

Very inconsiderate of him to say the least, supposedly "captain" of TM. Now were are 2 months away from the final round of the WC qualifiers and yet again he might be unavailable for TM's most crucial matches just like Brazil qualifiers...

If you wanna go out and drink then you should just get an uber or taxi so everyone's safe. He's making a lot of money so there's no excuse.

I don't even drink alcohol but evertime I go out to a night club or something I always get uber cause I might be tired on the way back home and I just don't want to put my life or anyone's life at risk.

20-30 Euro cab won't make someone who drives Bentley poor...

Ok so he drank and drove, that's bad. Oh well at least no one got hurt which is the most important thing. Drinking and driving is frightening, I did it once and I was lucky no cops were around to catch me. I would never ever do it again

Let's wait a while longer for more facts to surface before we totally convict & write of the guy.

He coulda well been set up too. ..??! That's why it's far more important for public figures to carefully plan their night outs on the town & partying technics. They are being watched closely 99% of the time in public

Before you all start bashing our lion Ashkan Dejagah. Can someone tell me what his blood alcohol level was? Because if he just had a drink or two in him then he doesn't deserve the amount of bashing he's been getting on here.

                          Doesn't matter, it's still illegal.

No you can drink and drive legally to a certain blood alcohol level. So a drink or two for a male of his size would most likely be fine and legal. I am not going to jump to conclusions, but if it does turn out that he was intoxicated and drove, putting other peoples' lives at risk, he should be punished. It will be a great shame, and definitely nothing that Iran would tolerate.

Oh boy!! I am afraid IRI will not let him play for Iran anymore. Having tattoos is one thing, being convicted for drink driving is another...

He was obviously arrested because he was over the limit. Over the limit is over the limit, doesn't matter if it was only 2 drinks or 10. No excuses with drink driving.

Anyway with footballers this is quite common and many of them end up doing community service or some bs because of their good laywers.
