I thought after so much exposure to Europe and European coaches, our players had become "adam"!!! But I guess not! They still play like idiots from this age!

Iran has played 3 times singapore u21 since march. Results almost the same , 1-0 , 2-0 . 1-0.

Saudi Arabia , Qatar ,Iraq ,UAE , japan , kOREA are not as weak as Singapore.

He does look very arrogant already at this age, doesn't he? This is not a good sign if you want to progress and get professional! If he continues this way, I'm afraid he will be a lost talent!

not good idea to ask a better coach from IFF for youth team.

we asked to Replace Alidoosti u16 coach , they replaced him with Chamanian.
we may get Alafian if we demand replacement of peyrovani.

Shekari is talented, but I found him arragent, careless(luckily was not send packing after punching that guy). You can't play in Europe with this attitude. I was very dissipointed with this U-19 team. We are not going to improve at youth levels as long as we have these incompetent homegrown coaches in charge!!

Well the demand should not just be replacement but a good coach! Preferably a foreign coach!

As i posted earlier 3 starting players from Foulad, Esteghlal and Zobahan( Najarian, Noorafkan & Shekari) were not supposed to go to Singapore because their clubs prevented them. One day later than rest of the team Shekari was asked by Youth commtee and coach to go to singapore and he was not pleased.

He did not want to go to this trip and training camp earlier in North. Noorafkan did not go and stayed with the team.

This is his excuse but he should learn and remember anytime he wear Iran jersey he should give 100%.
Today he was walking in a park.

Not good. This guy has potential to be better than Ezzatollahi and Azmoun. He needs the right mental makeup.

A brave Singapore side finished as runners-up in the inaugural FAS Under-21 International Challenge Cup 2016 after losing 1-0 to Iran at Bishan Stadium on Saturday night in the final of the competition.
The Young Lions had beaten Hong Kong 5-0 en-route to their third meeting with the Iranians, whom they had faced twice in their training trip to Tehran back in March, with both meetings ending in the hosts' favour.
Richard Tardy's charges however, looked keen to avenge their losses and had the better of the opening exchanges this time, with Dhukilan Jeevamani's free-kick creeping narrowly over the crossbar on eight minutes as Singapore started on the front foot.
Amiruldin Asraf's stinging 20-yards piledriver had to be tipped away by Iran custodian Nima Mirzazad two minutes later as the Young Lions continued to penetrate the Iranians' defence with their high-pressing game.
The hosts came close again on 12 minutes when Amirul Adli's shot at goal from Jonathan Tan's corner-kick was helped on by Joshua Pereira, but Nima was able to save the ball.
The Iranians carved out an opening against the run of play two minutes later when Mehdi Mehdikhani's header was tipped onto the crossbar by Zharfan Rohaizad, but Pereira was in the right place and time to clear the ball off the line.
Shahrin Saberin's overhit backpass was then picked up by Reza Karamollachaab in the 18th minute, but Zharfan stood firm to push the latter's fierce drive into touch.
The Singapore Under-21s continued to probe and came close again on 26 minutes when Adam Swandi picked out Rusyaidi Salime on the edge of the box with a sweet cross, but the defender fired straight at Nima.
Iran took the lead five minutes later after Medhi Mehdikhani found the bottom corner with an effort from the edge of the box after cutting in from the right flank.
The Young Lions had an opportunity to pull level on 35 minutes when Hami Syahin intercepted a poor backpass by an Iranian player, but the midfielder's effort from the halfway line flew just wide of the mark.
The visitors had opportunities to double their lead early in the second-half, but failed to take them as Mohammad Soltanimehr fired over from the outside the box, before Reza Shekarighayeh did the same from eight-yards out.
Mehdikhani could have helped Iran edge further ahead when he sprang the offside trap to go through on goal on 68 minutes, but shot against the post after cutting in from the right flank as Zharfan did well to close the striker down.
Singapore had a final opportunity to pull level deep in second-half stoppage time when Mirzazad flapped at Shameer Aziz's cross, but no red shirts were in the 18-yard box to take advantage of the goalkeeper's mistake.

Tardy: We played better this time round

In spite of the tough loss to the Iranians, Singapore Under-21 coach Tardy was pleased with his side's performance and felt that the Young Lions have made improvements since their last meeting with the Iranians.
The Frenchman said: "I believe we played better this time and I was pleased with our performance in the first-half.
"But we conceded a goal because we kept playing too many back-passes and lost the ball to Iran on many occasions.
"We matched the Iranians up till the second-half, when we pushed up too much and Zharfan had to save us, but I think we have improved since the Nations Cup in Malaysia."


Agreeing with Tardy's assessment was Iran coach Amirhossein Peiravani, who also praised the Frenchman for making rapid progress with the Young Lions since the last time both sides met.
"Tardy is a brilliant coach. The last time we played Singapore, their transitions from defence to attack was very slow," said the Iranian.
"I can see that Tardy has made this Singapore side better, because now they move the ball faster and they matched us in every department.
"The only reason why we won today was because we were much fitter and I think if Singapore works on that, they will be a very good side."
