FIFA ranking

FIFA rankings are great and all but I think our level of success should be measured based on things we haven't done in a long time like winning the Asian cup (been 41 yrs since) or things we have never done like getting past the group stage in the World Cup!!


I'm not trying to take anything away from our great performances under CQ like the Argentina game. And I understand that there is a correlation between the achievements I mentioned above and FIFA rankings but I'm just saying we shouldn't be overly excited about being ranked #1 in Asia on paper.

Iran better than Holland?

Ill leave that discussion up to you guys but as of right now we are ranked higher than them. We stand 28th and they are at a all time low 32nd.
Do we have a stronger squad right now? Could our team actually beat a team like Holland if we played?

Barring Arjen Robben dives Id say we have a decent chance to put up a good match against them.
