One of the classiest and most hard working we have ever had, not to mention overall one of the best. True leader and absolute man of the people, he will be missed dearly but on a brighter note, it will be GREAT to have him in the TM coaching staff his mind for the game and experience will be a big use, so excited to see the next chapter of his football career unfold this time as a coach. CQ will love to have him and it will be extremely useful to have him in particular to develop Saeid Ezzi, he will be as great as an assistant coach as he was a player and hopefully one day a head coach as well.

Did anyone notice he didn't mention Afshin Ghotbi when he thanked all his coaches?

When they asked Neko why he didn't name all his coaches, he replied by naming a few more people including Ghotbi. But he never mentioned GN.

One of the most intelligent TM players ever. This point cannot be emphasized enough. He is one of Asia's greatest exports to La Liga - perhaps the best league in the world.

Who remembers when he burst onto the scene? It was between him and Hamed Kavianpour, I am glad Miroslav Blažević chose him.

So you mean then one of Asia's greatest export to Europe and consequently to the world?

he came to tm from 2000, honestly back then hamed was really good, take nothing away from him, but he was in the team, he became a main player at asian cup 2004, he wasnt even instrumental in the 2002 qualifiers, but he was a good servent of tm, 16 -17 years

Agree but he became a main player way before AC 2004. He got the regular position in TM after Bagheri decided to quit. It was after the WC2002, not long after Branko just got in charge.

One of the best Iranian centre defensive midfielders.

Thank you for all that you've done for Team Melli!

I wish you success as a coach!
