no iraqs jersey is real adidas. Olympic rules state that there can be no additional branding (three stripes for ex) other than one logo on opposite corner of shirt from the nations flag. This is the case for all nations jerseys and adidas have had to modify them. Also denmark, who are with hummel, were unable to have traditional hummel pattern on sleeves for same reason

The issue isn't money, authenticity, or official stores etc. It's Sepah and the fact that it owns everything in Iran. Look at photos from the 90s and early 2000s and you'll see Samsung, LG, and other global brands sponsoring IPL teams. Since 2009, Sepah has basically banned all legitimate imports of foreign goods and sponsors to control all means of production locally and create a huge black market for brand-name goods. They're making massive profits doing this so there's no real end in sight.
Remember how the IFF did the same thing with Legea? They did it with Uhlspot and now with Givova. Brand awareness is huge in Iran so they "sign" deals with small companies and then create a black market of counterfeit products that earns them massive profits.
No way they'll sign with Adidas or any other big company. Sepah doesn't work like that. Some Sepahis and their official news sites like Fars are also invoking Khamenei's "resistance economy" spiel to prevent Taj from going with a legit sponsor. I even read a piece on Mehr that explicitly warned Taj not to act against the wishes of Khamenei. If he does, he'll be labeled a traitor and anti-Khamenei.
No way in hell this is going to happen.

From 2013, Puma wanted to sponsor the league
The managing director of Puma in Iran Mohammad Ali Donyagard says the German company is interested in sponsoring football events in Iran. Puma, Nike and Adidas were forced to pull out from Iranian markets during the recent years.
“I have negotiated with the top officials of Puma over supplying balls to Iran Pro League. Accordingly Puma is ready to provide free balls to IPL. We have submitted our offer to Iran Football Federation in this regard,” Mohammad Ali Donyagard announced in a press-conference on Monday.
Currently, Uhlsport is the official sponsor of Iran national football team. Uhlsport is the kit manufacturer of 9 clubs in Iran. Esteghlal, Persepolis and Sepahan are among the most famous Iranian clients of Uhlsport. This company also manufactures the official ball of IPL. Coaches and players have recently raised questions about low-quality balls supplied by Uhlsport.
“As mentioned, we are interested in assisting Iran Football Federation. Puma was the kit manufacturer of Team Melli in a few matches, but the high-ranking officials of Puma asked us to terminate sponsorship deal with Iran Football Federation to comply with international regulations,” Donyagard reiterated the good faith of Puma.
European and American companies with the exception of humanitarian institutions are banned from transacting with Iran-based organizations due to the existing sanctions on Iran over the country’s nuclear activities.
“I personally intend to promote football in Iran. I’m not looking for my own interests in this deal, but the reputation of Iran national football team is so important for me at this time.” Mohammad Ali Donyagard concluded.
The German-based company, Puma, doesn’t sponsor any Iranian teams at the moment. Seyyed Mehdi Rahmati, the goalkeeper of Esteghlal, is the only player in Iran sponsored by Puma. Rahmati wears gloves, boots and shirts manufactured by Puma. However, Uhlsport has repeatedly urged Rahmati to stop using Puma products.
Bahrain, Mongolia and Philippines are the only Asian national football teams sponsored by Puma.
