^of course Nike isnt doing business in Iran it's an american company Adidas being German, no wonder they are everywhere in Iran Also why I'm surprised it is so hard for them to become our TM sponsor, there has always been good relations between Iran and Germany, both in business and other fields.

Also let's look at the facts...you went to a "Nike Store" in Iran...yet http://www.nike.com/sk/en_gb/sl/store-locator which is their official site, lists no official retailer or store in Iran. When you look up Canada, USA, UAE, etc they even list generic sports shops that have a license to sell Nike products (i.e., footlocker, sportchek) but do not list anything for Iran once again! So to accurately capture your experience we can conclude you went to a store that sold Nike products but likely is not endorsed by Nike Meaning if our TM is getting anything from this place or a place similar to it, we should expect that it is possible what happened with Uhlsport will happen with Nike as well I am basing my comment on the facts and our past experience, not on some fantasy or dream And no passport checking needed.
Fair enough, I don't know why they are not listed online but it isn't really surprising that an American company doesn't include Iran on their website. The store looked 100% just like a Nike store overseas and also everything in the store was real (if they were fakes then that means some companies are making fakes with the same quality as the real ones - seems unlikely to me ).

Also there is official Adidas presence in Iran and their stuff is just as pricey as everywhere else in the world. I don't think Ali Daei was ever an official re seller of any brands hence he would sell whatever he wanted.
So where is this official Adidas presence in Iran?

Thinking about the design tho, I always liked the design of Ali Daei's "Iranol" (lol) jersey's we wore in Asian Cup 2004
People think about fakes because there is no reason not incentive for the IFF to acquire anything but fakes and history has proven that.

They don't care about TM's practice pitch that can cause injury, all of a sudden they care about what TM wears?!?

Adidas, Nike, and Puma sponsor hundreds of teams around the world and use their regional factories to manufacture the jerseys. For example, Adidas factories in Turkey make jerseys for Adidas teams in the Turkish league. The same is true of almost all countries that Adidas has factories in, except rogue states like Iran, North Korea, etc.

In fact, the only German-made Adidas jerseys are produced for Bundesliga teams, and in some cases, even those are made in overseas facilities because of labor costs. It sounds like the IFF is purchasing legit Adidas gear made in an Adidas factory somewhere in Asia or the Middle East. Unlike Iran where everything is a knock-off of the real thing, foreign-produced Adidas/Nike/Puma gear is the same quality as those made in Germany and the US.
Actually it sounds like the exact opposite. If that were the case we would have heard something from Adidas's end on the matter and even then it would most likely not matter! Remember Uhlsport claiming what was in Iran are fakes!!

Most textiles from Turkey are smuggled in to Iran and are knockoffs unless there is an official store or distribution in Iran like Mango. What exists in Turkey has zero connection to what can or does exist in Iran. We don't even have a proper channel to pay them!

What's funny is that they list the store in Milad-e Noor, Tehran as official. I know the owner. He sells fakes. He says the only way he can make $$ is to sell 90% fakes and sell the originals to his repeat customers.

If he does that in Milad-e Noor, imagine what the rest do.

Maybe Bachelot can give us insight on how a resellers function, but as far as i know the stores in Iran have control of what they order and stock. So he might order some things direct from Adidas, but mostly he gets fakes from China and Pakistan. Of course being Iran there is no penalty or legal worries for selling fake foreign brands and I doubt Adidas sends reps to check on the stuff.

Could it be he meant not made in Germany when he said fakes?

This is the reality that we have to accept. Either go for a shit cheap brand and get an exclusive and nice design or go for a reputable brand with good quaintly and get a plain and boring design most likely from the team wear range.

Good points all around but the kits aren't being provided by some Adidas store. They could buy generic kits from Daei's Adidas store if they wanted to do that. If they really negotiated with Adidas (and that's a big if), I'd imagine the company is aware of the situation and has some control over the shipment of the equipment. I seriously doubt such a brand would just let the IFF buy a bunch of fake gear. Again, IF Adidas is aware of the situation and the IFF aren't lying about this whole thing, I'd be very surprised if we end up with some Aliexpress Adidas knock-off.

In the links I provided you...a canadian retailer has stopped selling jerseys because the fakes were so good he unknowingly sold them to the public. Some where even autographed by players as collectables! The sports mercjamdise market is huge and fakes make big profit. Another good documemtary is called counterfeit culture.

On the surface you can't always spot a fake. It needs fine detail review...I am talking thread counts, and even fiber/material analysis.

Even the big retailers are falling pray.

Instead of wearing fake adidas that can bring much ridicule and humiliation for us, I'd rather wear Majid or Daei or ... brand for the next two games until IFF can sort its shit out and get a proper contract with some bloody company.

Daei's or Majid's or ... cant be that much worse than the givova jerseys
