As far as i remember Ashkan's transfer to Fulham and Al Arabi were both quite under the radar (Fulham more so, we all expected him to stay at Wolfsburg), so I would expect the same again this year if he moves teams. It will be a quiet transfer, and we will probably only hear about it when it is done, or near done.

I also think his transfer will be made late in the window & rather quietly to give folks some time to forget about the DWI thingy ..!

Varzesh 3 claim that he's back training temporarily with Al Arabi until both parties reach an agreement regarding his departure as he's still contracted. Apparently there's one year left on his contract and not two and that they need to pay him 3.5-4 million Euros. Good for him

FYI, Demba Ba broke his leg in a freakish injury, so I don't know if his Chinese League team can replace him. Dejagah may be a choice to take Ba's place, but barring that transfer, I think Dejagah to China is unlikely. Their transfer window has closed, and I'm fairly sure that all Chinese teams have reached the full number of foreign and Asian players in their clubs.

I'm thinking the likelihood, based on the fact that he has been in Berlin according to his instagram, is that he will stay at Al Arabi, go to another QSL team, go to a lower/mid-table EPL team, or go to Hertha Berlin.

If anything outside of these 4 happens, I would be extremely surprised.

Also I think the transfer will be done very quietly that even his new team players will not notice and all of the sudden they see a new dude in the line-up just before the kick-off whistle....

He's at their training, but apparently he still plans to leave in the next few days:
