seems as massoud has perfected his signature Cutback LAYEE ...!! think he pulled that off more than once vs chinese..!! it so fun to watch him own his markers and forced them into nasty fouls in retaliation...!! lol
one of his biggest contributions to TM over the years have been winning us many dangerous Set Piece opportunities in n around the opponent's box by his fancy footwork..!! unfortunately weve been very wasteful with those opportunities of late, but i remember earlier on that (set-pieces) was about the Only way CQ's TM was able to get on the scoresheet..!
when teams park the bus and play a compact defensive game, every team badly needs such a highly technical player as massoud to beat out the initial marker and cause attacking havoc..! we are very lucky that he has managed to remain such an excellent fitness and form this late into his career..! in the past our biggest talents pretty much gave up all football ambitions after 30 and started to mostly focus on earning easy money..!!

Well technique wise he's the best we currently have in TM.

Just for pure ball control he's the best, there's a lot of top technical players in Iran that don't have other necessary CQ required attributes to make TM, but currently in the 23 men squad he's the best we have "vision" and technique wise by a good margin.

He was even seen as a elite dribbler in his La Liga days (the league with the most technical players) by Spanish media I clearly remember when reading their articles

Seriously Masoud Shojaei has hit his old form again and a transfer to a La Liga team wouldn't be out of the question. Would be a dream move if some Spanish team buys him up this summer!

Good grief that was a nice assist on the second goal.
Shojaei has quietly developed into one seriously seasoned and smooth CAM in the tail end of his career. And he seems to have been doing it all year, with some fairly consistent flashes for TM, like in the last game against China. I hope he keeps up this form all the way to Russia.
