Say what you want guys, I wouldent want to play in turkey. See how people are rushing out of that place right now. its no stable country. They pretty much got a civil war going on against the kurds and at the same time problems with isis and erdogan is at the moment clearing out any opponents as well.

One would think that since these two are grown, individual adults, they would take all that into consideration before signing their contracts. Granted the coup d'etat did not happen after they had already signed their contracts and were in Turkey, but we all already knew Turkey is not doing that well based on all the previous events that happened in the previous years, such as shooting down a Russian Air Force Su-24 and getting sanctions put on them by Russia or their struggles with the Kurdish population and their support for ISIS etc.

Now, if they both really felt in danger and were afraid for their safety, they could've approached their departure from the team in a more different manner than simply packing up their bags and "running" away. You would think they would approach the organization, inform the individuals running the organization about their own safety concern and see if there would anything that could be done. At the end, if all else failed, then they could lawyer up and just skip town.

Last note I would like to add, Rezaian did not seem very concerned about his own safety when he was posting pictures of himself in front of Turkish Army Leopard 2 tanks that were used in the coup d'etat.
