I can't believe we couldn't beat this so-called Azerbaijan team.

They were playing a very tight defensive game, but Iran just couldn't figure out how to break their defense. This is where a good coach comes into play. Ours on the hand instructed the team to do the same thing over and over again!

It will be a different game against Brazil. We lost to brazil very narrowly last year in the final of futsal grand prix.

Our changes are low but expect a good game!

Azaris on the other hand have luck coming off their Brazilian ass ... they will be facing Thailand. Either of the two going through would be so bloody lucky!!!

on the bright side: playing AZE was good warm up for Brazil...half their team was south american imports.

What a shame, we barely drew "Azerbaijan". I was baffled by this Azeri team, almost their entire team bore Latin names, which means South American players being naturalized by the Azeri government. This country is yet another Oil-rich state who has employed the sports-model of Qatar by naturalizing players from other countries just for the sake of a temporary lift of their miserable state of sports, what a shame.

In countries like those of the West, such as America, Australia, Canada, and West Europe, it's a very common practice to accept massive numbers of immigrants who emigrate to these countries to make their family's future there, subsequently having naturalized citizens who have been living in these countries permanently and possibly depending on their merit playing for the national teams. However in a country like Qatar where getting citizenship for ordinary people is quite impossible, it's an act of desperation and unsportsmanlike to resort to such bizarre fashion of naturalizing people, same applies to today's Azerbaijan!

Regardless of all of the above, I was totally dismayed to find ourself below Azerbaijan, in the 3rd. place. I hate quitting and giving up, but now we face a super difficult task against a superb team "Brazil"

^ EXACTLY...I am sorry to say but this team is not even half of Iran's futsal's strength and capability.

They can't even pass 2-3 without losing the ball so how are they supposed to win? I think the coach has a lot to do with this too because I haven't seen a tactical game from the players either. They were almost losing to AZ and Morocco and they are more decorated than both of them.

You don't give class to your team by wearing a suit but by training them hard and preparing them for the worse.

and about our chances.. you all know it.. let's just enjoy and learn from the masters because if we don't play like them, we will never win anything in futsal for sure.

وی ادامه داد: روزی ایویچ می*گفت اگر ما صد بار با آلمان بازی کنیم شاید فقط یک بار بتوانیم این تیم را شکست دهیم و آن یک بار شاید در جام جهانی باشد به هر حال ما بازی بسیار دشواری مقابل برزیل داریم. بازی در مرحله حذفی همواره سخت است. حتی اگر با تیم*های ضعیف هم بازی داشته باشیم چون احتمال حذف شدن وجود دارد استرس*زاست.

کاپیتان سابق تیم ملی فوتسال خاطرنشان کرد: من یک پیغام برای بازیکنان ایرانی دارم و آن اینکه بازیکنان باید بدانند که بالاتر از سیاهی رنگی نیست به زمین مسابقه بروند و بجنگند. چیزی برای از دست دادن نداریم و باید تمام تلاش خود را انجام بدهند. پیروزی مقابل برزیل دور از دسترس نیست. فکر نکنید که حالا برزیل با خیالی راحت به مصاف ما می*آید. آنها هم شرایط خاص خود را دارند.

شمسایی افزود: برزیل تاکنون مقابل تیم سرسختی قرار نگرفته و در مرحله گروهی بازی*های آسانی داشت. حالا باید مقابل ایران قرار بگیرد میانگین سنی برزیلی*ها بالاست و اگر بازیکنان ایران از اسم برزیل نترسند می*توانند موفق باشند. ما تاکنون دو بار مقابل برزیل مساوی کرده*ایم یک بار زمانی که انصاری فرد سرمربی تیم بود که به نتیجه ۴ -۴ دست یافتیم و یک بار هم زمان سرمربیگری حسین شمس . در هر دو بار ما چون نترسیدیم و بازی خود را کردیم توانستیم امتیاز بگیریم.

وی افزود: در آخرین باری هم که در مسابقات گرند پریکس که ناظم الشریعه سرمربی ما بود مقابل ۱۲ هزار تماشاگر برزیلی ۴ بر ۳ باختیم که می*توانستیم در آن بازی پیروز هم شویم. به نظرم امسال برزیل نشانی از قهرمانی ندارد فقط من یک توصیه برادرانه به کادر فنی تیم ملی می*کنم و آن اینکه مراقت ضربات ایستگاهی تیم ملی برزیل باشند چرا که ای تیم برنامه*های بسیار ویژه*ای برای این ضربات دارد.

You re totally right but more than the passing ability (which actually is working very well from time to time, like against Spain or Azeris in first half), what is really worrying is the lack of finishing which is very new for a team like Iran. The coach is 100% responsible for this problem because this is more a "mental" issue than a skill issue.
