Reza Karimi has made 4 appearances so far this season for his team. His team is 3rd in the Albanian league. Keep in mind he had ITC issues until January so he only got permission to play for them at the half season. It seems like the coach is trusting him more and more, he is making the bench in every game now and occasionally coming on as a sub.

He is only 18 so I think he will have a good feature in Europe if he keeps working hard and progressing.

EDIT: His team is also going to play in the Cup Final on May 31st.

You say that like Reza Karimi is this big name player who's hot property in Iran. I never even knew he existed until this transfer.

Exactly. This is actually one of the more sensible transfers in my opinion. He was barely getting any playing time at a mid table PGPL team so he decided to take a risk in small European league. Who knows maybe in a year or two we see him in a better league like Croatia. Then people will be praising him.

You should've mentioned he assisted a goal in a cup game he featured in (think he came on as a sub?), so he has made an impact... albeit a small one.

He was one of our best youth team players and I know for a fact he had offers from formidable European youth teams, Spanish league included, but opted for a league on the level of Azadegan, where he was ineligible to play for six months before warming the bench now. Awesome and sensible indeed.

He played 27 minutes last game. He is becoming a regular substitute now.

WTF Albanian team! Even if he went to Qatar, he would at least make some money! Our players get dumb and dumber every year!

I never said it was! But the quality still isn't worth it! Besides, I'm not sure if the quality is so much better than PGL!

But the exposure is, especially if his team makes some progress in Europa qualification. I'll admit going to Spanish youth teams would have been better though if he actually did have those offers.

Reza made another substitute appearance in his teams 4:3 win. His team is third place and one point out of a UCL qualifier spot with 4 games left.

Reza again made a late substitute appearance in his teams 1-0 win. His team moved up to 2nd place and are one point behind Kukesi with 2 games left. They play Kukesi on Saturday. If they win they will likely play in the Champions League play-off next season.

Reza come on in the 77th minute of the Albanian cup final. His team lost in extra time. He made 6 league appearances and 3 in the cup (9 in total) in the half season he played. His team is in the 2nd round of the Europa League play-off. I am guessing he will become a starter for his team next season. He is still only 18 and has lots of time to develop.
