Have we ever had 2 players in CL simultaneously? I know both Daei and Mahdavikia have played and scored in CL, however not sure if they both played in the same season!?
.
Hopefully we will have three this time Sardar and Saeed are important to their teams - Saeid is starting otherwise first off the bench. Let's just hope Karimi is there too! That would be spectacular.
I sooooo want Real Madrid in their group, sardar will surely get snatched by them after tearing em a new one and almost costing them an early CL exit at group stage...!!
Don't want this thread hijacked. I said I was joking but your assessment is completely wrong. Iraq has no body. Neither does Syria. Seria A is declining fast - their teams are getting knocked out in qualification, their league is not competitive. No real good teams outside Juventus.
.
wtf does serie A have to do with it?????? you are missing the freakin point here!
lets stick to the topic

That would be career suicide for him to go to RM
He should go to an up and coming team thats about to make CL in one of the top 4 leagues
Daei with 3 goals(Chelsea and Milan) and Kia with brilliant performance of a goal and couple of assists against Jubes are best Iranians in CL, i think even Karimi scored a goal...
nigga... iz u crazy..?? that be One for the AGES...!!
Granted not very realistic for time being..!!
once you made the pinnacle of all club football there is no way too far down from it...!!
Wow. I've been a TM fan for almost 20 years and these moments are the ones we live for - they're few and far between, enjoy boys! we're a tortured fan base that deserves our bright spots lol
they are just the mobali and kazemian of their generation nothing special just a lot of hype
Good comparison. People were saying Kazemian is the next Mahdavikia and Mobali was something we never really had, a freekick specialist that can score directly off of freekicks.

Azizam, really, I don't want to extend this, but this is very simple argumentation structure:
Your thesis: Countries like Syria and Iraq are out-producing us. Me: This is untrue, we are outproducing them by a large margin.
You: We are going backwards, not progressing. Me: We have never had 3 players playing in Champions League at the same time! Especially 2 on the same team. We also will have a Europa League player as well in Jahanbaksh after today. That's 4 players playing top European leagues. Doing something good that we've never done before = the definition of progress.
You: We don't have many youths in top leagues. Me: All of the players we have, all of which are on very good teams (prediction: Rostov will finish top 3 in RPL this year), Dinamo will win Croatian league and AZ will most likely finish top 3 again) are all under-23 years old, which makes them youth. Milad Mohammadi is also on a very good team, he's also 22 and young.
You: Iraq and North Korea make Youth competitions Me: Iraq cheats, probably North Korea too (don't have evidence for the latter). Taking men to beat on kids is not really a feat or something to be proud of. I'm glad Iran stopped fabricating ages a long time ago, this will help us in the long term over some stupid and useless youth tournaments.
You: They have players in top leagues. Me: The only player they have in a top league is Ali Adnan. He plays for Udinese. They finished 17 last year and were ONE POINT away from being relegated. He was regularly benched on that team. Seria A, as a whole, is better than the RPL. I give you that. Juventus is the best team by far in both leagues but they are in a declining league. Juventus has won the championship 5 years in a row. That's absurd and shows really no competition. Roma got spanked and they were outstanding in Seria A last year. RPL, on the other hand, is a climbing league. They produce a handful of players every year that go on to the top 3 leagues and do well. Seria A is no where near Germany, England and Spanish league. Ali is also 24-25, not the 22 he claims. Still young, but a couple/few years matters in football. Udinese are not better than the aforementioned teams.

My point, give the boys credit and appreciate this time. It's real exciting to have many youths do well and showcase their talents in very good teams! Now they might get a chance to play the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Arsenal!!

Not sure about that statement on Mobali. Nekounam was a monster at free kicks for both Iran and Osasuna.
