I am really surprised Soroush Rafei is left out of the squad?!! After all the fuss about having the "sarbazi" issue solved especially because of him, it is very strange! I assume they picked Shojaian over him.

Shojaeian is more bull-dogish. Willing to do the dirty work in the midfield. Sourosh is more offensively polished and a playmaker. I guess CQ prefers the fighters more with that selection.

I don't think Moammadi as a LB is different to Hajsafi! Aghaei in and Mohamamdi out, doesn't really look convincing to me with or without any game plan and tactic that CQ may have in mind!
Gucci is someone that has always been in CQ plans! The counter attacking tactic was proven with him in the field against South Korea in their home when Gucci scored the only winning goal and saved us from not qualifying to the WC! Judging by his recent games in Europe, he is not in a bad form either!
When it comes to these 2, against some of the players who've already been invited to TM training, nothing can justify the reason for their possible exclusion! I'm still hopeful both will be invited otherwise to me, there is something really really wrong with this system!

true & Daryoush has been invited & played with TM of late often & he is more in tune with CQs demanded tactics. Sourosh got to work himself back in slowly after a long layoff due to that bs sarbazi..!

Mohammadi is part of the 25 man list. Normally teams can't have a squad bigger than 23 players so we should see 2 players get cut within the next few days I imagine

I doubt it would happen but it would be so funny if those 2 players turned out to be Taremi and Rezaeian!

so when is the final cut? Milad should make it especially considering he is finally starting to break into tereks starting 11 and is looking really dangerous on offensive end. Would love to see him start. Also I would think Mazaheri would deserve a call up...Taremi and Rezaian shouldn't be there but I doubt that will happen. Other than that decent list i guess. I guess pahlevan didnt do enough to impress at training camp but I thought he was really good, goal scoring AM/Winger when i watched him in ACL

P.S- what about Akhbari?Only see him play once or twice but seemed like a decent,young Gk. Good size on him as well.?

We only know that among that list of 25 players, 2 players will be cut and the article guesses that it might be one of Hajsafi (probably not), Mohammadi, Aghaei and one of Shojaei, Dejagah (probably not) and Shojaeian. Mohammad Ansari might be safe if CQ is willing to have him as a CB backup, rather than his natural LB position.

Remember that these are all media speculations Danial Mahini hasn't played much/at all for SS Khuzestan if I'm not mistaking and he lost his starting place to Jalal Abdi who's the same age as him

Haha yeah I'll take it with a pinch of salt since the article assumes the cutting of Hajsafi and Dejagah to be "rational" which I'm not sure I agree with (getting rid of the back bone of the team's leadership).

مشخص بود که با اضافه شدن لژیونرها که اکثرا بازیکنانی در فازهجومی اند مهاجمان و بازیکنانی هجومی که در لیگ توپ می زنند کمتر شانس حضور در فهرست تیم ملی را پیدا می کنند. در این زمینه باید به کارلوس کی*روش حق داد. داریوش شجاعیان، اشکان دژاگه، مهدی ترابی، وحید امیری، مهدی طارمی، کریم انصاری*فر، مسعود شجاعی، میلاد محمدی، سردار آزمون، رضا قوچان نژاد وعلیرضا جهانبخش نفرات هجومی کی*روش محسوب می شوند که بازی دادن همه آنها میسر نیست. در این میان خط خوردن سروش رفیعی قابل توجه بود. در فاز هجومی بازیکنان رقابت شدیدی برای حضور در ترکیب اصلی دارند. شاید فقط سردار آزمون و علیرضا جهانبخش از ثابت بازی کردن شان مطمئن باشند.
