Naft's first goal was undeserved, but Esteghlal did well to come back and lead. Something is wrong with the team in terms of consistency and mental strength.

Unfortunately there's a lot wrong with this team! Defensively this Esteghlal is one of the worst I have seen! Mentally most of the players are not where they should be! Consistency is non-existant! The only consistent factor is the fact that they mess up almost every lead that they have!

All of that and the refrees beside, quality wise this team is not on-par with the likes of Traktor and PP.
Our defense consists out of 2 new players (Robson and Padovani, out of which one is completely new to Iran). Cheshmi, Ghafouri and Kanaanizadegan have been out due to injuries for a long time! Then we have Megoyan, who makes at least 2 major blunders in every damn game that he plays! Don't let me even start about our left back!!

In midfield, Heydari had been struggling with injuries in the beginning and besides Ebrahimi all other players are new to the team! And when your big star player (Bakhtiar Rahmani) has COMPLETELY been out of form the entire season, then it's pretty much over! Besides Jaber Ansari, the entire offensive line is also new!

No offense, but you just won't get far with the likes of Haghdoust, Farshid Bagheri, Esmaeili, Ali Ghorbani and co. There is absolutely no balance in this team and believe me that we will lose to Al Sadd too if it continues like this!

Esteghlal is not playing well because of several factors. I was surprised Mansourian was chosen as the Head Coach. Why Kaveh Rezie not playing more is beyond me.

Rahmati keeps arguing and shouting as if he is in control. If you watched Nafat-e o gaz Ghachsaran played with lots of pride.

Al Saad will have easy game to win. It is unfortunate for Iranian football when so many Esteghlal players making so much more than other football players.
