Player issued = Thinner and lighter material, heat pressed badge, more advanced, tighter fit etc
e.g https://store.nike.com/gb/en_gb/pd/2.../pgid-12491414
Replica = Thicker and longer lasting material. Badges stitched on and more aesthetic.
e.g https://store.nike.com/gb/en_gb/pd/2.../pgid-12491412
To the average joe they look the same but people that know can spot the subtle differences. There's also a big price between the two.

This is one of the reasons why CQ is so adamant in using Adidas. It comes down to function over form and unfortunately people don't get this and would rather us have something better looking like Majid or Uhlsport but with zero technology which would probably hinder us.
For the last WC I purchased both the red and white Uhlsport jersey which happened to be the actual player issued kit and I was legit suffocating. I haven't worn them since.

For the "breathability" of the kit and to maintain lightness, the print would have to be included within the fabric of the shirt. This can only happen directly in the factory.
If you patch on the cheetah print, which is what some people seem to want it will literally block the voids between the fabric and add weight.
