      Iran 0-1 Iraq

No idea about the line up.

Saad Abdul-Amir scored the penalty for them.

We've now lost two in a row against Iraq.

Looks like Beiro, Taremi, Rezaeian, PAG were in the starting line up base on the pictures.

As long as we lose to them in friendlies like this, who cares?

In fact, it's good too! We can address our weaknesses.

Let them be, it was a friendly game with our domestic core and they are as good as eliminated in their group anyway.

Most imp thing is we got match praxis before our game.

It's not important. I am just glad we finally played a match before our WCQ games. Hopefully results in cohesion before our WCQ important matches.

We've lost to Kuwait before in friendlies etc.

Counted as an official FIFA match, will affect our FIFA ranking for World/Asian Cup seeding purposes but not by much:

I wonder who gave up the penalty.

True but was still expecting a win even with this team. It was a Fifa friendly after all, even if it's "just" a friendly. It will influence our ranking a lot I imagine to lose to such a low ranked team

                          Not really
They're a pretty solid team in the region, play us tough every time & considering our vastly weak domestic squad missing key would be starters legionnaire in near all areas of the pitch & to top it off our Largly downgraded preparations program for these upcoming wcqs & the missing assistant coaching staff due to non pay by IFF....
I'd say an expected & maybe even acceptable friendly result...!??

Let's hope it helps us tweak certain weaknesses for the upcoming matches but considering the cluster fk preparation schedule & the various other recent challenges n hashiez, id say we would be quiet lucky to get anymore than 3-4 points from the 2 matches coming up.

Not by much esp. if we beat Qatar and China. Plus rather see weaknesses in friendlies and get scored on then than in actual games.

                            That's why they are there.

If we win both WCQ games, we will still climb a few spots.

Even if we end up second in Asia, we'd still be alright, wouldn't we?
