Good point away from home. China will go down like a sack of potatoes in Tehran unless they figure out how to play at this level. Iran looked tired but can't deny that they pretty much controlled the whole game.
Could we have won it in the second half? Yes. Could I have turned pro if I worked harder in my youth? Yes.
Happy with the point. To those who are serial complainers: stop whining and move on. 4 points out of two games with zero goals conceded is exactly where we want to be right now.

Not the greatest game, but we came away with the minimum.
Those guys calling for 3 points clearly do not understand football. China was banking on idiots like you coaching TM so that they push all out and they could catch Iran on the counter.
CQ with the conservative approach, didn't risk going all out for a 3 points AWAY from home, so he kept the form.
Could we have won this game? Absolutely, JB was terrible, Azmoun was tame, and Amiri doesn't belong in PP, let alone TM.
PS. The shitty pace of the game can be attributed to the weather and the pitch. I haven't seen a pitch this bad in forever, is this what the chinese spent 50 million on?
Now were on top with 4 points. South korea just drew Syria 0-0 away too. Syria wasted 6 minutes of extra time, in stoppage time.

4 points isn't bad at this point especially since Syria held South Korea to a draw.
Having said that TM's performance has been atrocious in 3 of the 4 halves we've played... the first half in this match was pretty decent except in the final 1/3rd and finishing.
I'm still confused why Gucci starts on the bench when he has saved our arses time and time again and while Azmoun and JB are struggling... Sardard lost every single 50/50 ball today with headers in midfield and very little hustling overall.
It's not helping his career in TM if he thinks he's going to be the starter without having to fight for it IMHO. Gucci added a nice dimensions to our attack since he came on albeit too little too late.
Overall, I haven't been impressed with anything about TM so far despite the results being good and what concerns me even more going forward is that our 2nd halves (coach's half) have been poorer than our 1st half performances.
I hope the boys gel together better as we move forward and CQ's going to be smarter about his line-ups... our entire 4 man offensive line-up had scored a total of 3 goals in competitive international matches against decent teams since 2012... we can't expect miracles.

On top of that, they were playing with 5 defenders that never pushed forward beyond their own box.
You can tell our players were frustrated. Azmoun after the match said that their tactics were good and they analyzed the match correctly, they just couldn't put the game away.راه یکی است و آن راستی است

Jahanbakhsh his weaknesses were fully shown today. Horrendous crosses, very static and terrible passing / shooting.
He can't get past Chinese defenders even if he had tried all night. He is so average. His corners were fucking amateur.
I wanted to throw with chairs whenever he wasted the ball with his retarded actions.
No comment on the game.
