JB missed so many chances. Also his crosses were poor. the ball went out directly twice. Maybe his food had MSG which as the same effect as maast. give the opponent a lot of maast .

I think many people passed poorly and that might have been due to soggy field. you saw how much grass had come off by cleats.

what a poor field. it slowed down every ball.

I wanted to throw with chairs whenever he wasted the ball with his retarded actions.

Maybe he has a very bad day, maybe he is overrated....satan knows the truth...........

We completely lacked the clinical touch in front of net. These last two games have solidified my belief that Azmoun is still not a world class striker like so many claim. He is a good, developing striker, but if the ball isn't near perfection, or the defender doesn't make a huge blunder, he usually doesn't make most of the chances and/or create his own chances. I am hoping that we survive this first round as a top two team and begin to see some chemistry for second round of matches.

Those guys calling for 3 points clearly do not understand football. China was banking on idiots like you coaching TM so that they push all out and they could catch Iran on the counter.
CQ with the conservative approach, didn't risk going all out for a 3 points AWAY from home, so he kept the form.
Could we have won this game? Absolutely, JB was terrible, Azmoun was tame, and Amiri doesn't belong in PP, let alone TM.
PS. The shitty pace of the game can be attributed to the weather and the pitch. I haven't seen a pitch this bad in forever, is this what the chinese spent 50 million on?
Now were on top with 4 points. South korea just drew Syria 0-0 away too. Syria wasted 6 minutes of extra time, in stoppage time.
Dude, we barely beat qatar in tehran and it took more than 90 min and a major goalie sooti. Stop pretending that queiroz has a plan.

Dejagah karim should have been sent in place of JB,. He was not the player he usually is.

Gucci although a great player could not do defending so a few dangerous situations were created on both sides. we almost lost. He can be playing iff you have a solid rock in defense,

Ando did ok, but he needs to lose 4Kg. his club manager needs to make that happen

The football some of you fans want doesn't exist anymore.
No one plays wreckless attacking football anymore. Its done.
Football is about a game of probabilities now. Minimize mistakes. Maximize opponent mistakes and capitalize. That's it.

Its why Portugal wins Euro Cup while playing a boring (but effective) style or why Germany puts 7 past Brazil.

                  This isn't a video game.
I really can't believe the expectations some have.

Really poor performance, the ref could also give a penalty kick to the chinese team. This China team was worse than I expected. I wouldn't blame Azmoun we couldn't provide one decent cross during 90 minutes

Lb was ok, except for one situation where the opponent dribbled and he fell behind new the goal. his coach need to watch the video and help him.

this tm is actually teethless, i guess we need to look after substitues for at least 50 procent of the current tm players..............

He got Iran to the world cup without a plan? We almost beat Argentina without a plan?

Sure, if we had tied Qatar in Azadi, this game would've been very very different. We would've gone all out.

Let me repeat, his selection of Amiri is questionable at best, but everyone else pretty much is the best we have in Iran. Neither Branko or Ghalenoi could've performed better.

We got away with the minimum 4 points out of the first two games. Now we have Uzbekistan away and Korea at home. CQ's plan is to get four points from these two games at MINIMUM.
A win against Syria in the final round puts us at 11 points out of 15. I'll take that any day.

Let me also remind you, SK tied Syria today AWAY, and depending on UZB Qatar game, we are still 1st in the standings.

ANOTHER THING TO KEEP IN MIND IS THIS IS STILL THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON FOR CLUBS. WE SHOULD HIT THE GROUND RUNNING BY OUR NEXT TWO GAMES, BUT SO SHOULD SOUTH KOREA AND UZBEKISTAN.

Chera it doesn't exist anymore? Van gaal tried that shit in manchester, ba ordang biroonesh kardan.
But portugal in 2010 under queiroz only scored against north korea. He couldn't figure out how to score with cristiano ronaldo.

I think if someone had said before the campaign started that we'd get 4 points from our opening two fixtures then most would have taken it. The very fact that we are disappointed is no bad thing. Of course it would have been great to have posted 6 point on the board to top it (or at the very least tie with Uzbekistan assuming they beat Qatar later today). It seemed fairly clear that CQ wanted a minimum of 1 point from this match and was not prepared to gamble for 3. If he had then he would have made changes far earlier in the match.

We started in a similar fashion in the 2014 qualifying campaign but then things went awry and as we all know we had to dig ourselves out of a very big hole. This time round I am somewhat more optimistic about our chances as we appear to have a little more depth to the squad. That being said I'd give my right ball for someone like Mahdavikia who can cross and take set pieces.

We can all agree that the performances have not been great and that we got lucky vs Qatar. I doubt we could play any worse. Our (so-called) big guns (Azmoun and ARJ) didn't really fire and I think it was fairly clear to see what changes may need to be made (Amiri and Shojaei out). Not too concerned by Azmoun (he should have been more clinical but he was quite isolated in both games so far) but am growing increasingly worried about ARJ (as he appears to choke when playing for Iran). His goal vs Qatar aside he hasn't performed over the last 180 minutes.

I think Milad did fairly well and I see a bright future for him. Ando was solid as ever. Rezaeian was a bit better but I am not convinced. I would like to see Ezatolahi impose himself more on matches but he is still only 19. More experience with his club will no doubt help him grow into the player we all hope he can become.

As I said earlier I doubt we can play any worse ... we just need some better performances by Azmoun, ARJ and one or two others.

Over the course of the campaign I see this as being a 3 way shoot out between Iran, S. Korea and Uzbekistan (yes Uzbekistan). We are on parity with Korea and will hopefully remain so with Uzbekistan. Why am I discounting Qatar ... well I think when push comes to shove I doubt their solidarity and cohesiveness over the course of such a long campaign.

Can CQ find some one who can kick the damn ball ?...TM has no body who can shoot the ball on target.
