We got the minimum point and it was a good point. We should have won but Iran is still in great position now.

    Two unexpected things:

    1) Finishing was absolutely atrocious. Our players didnt bring their shooting boots. Azmoun and JB blew two goals.

    2) Pitch was garbage. Fckin trash. The ball was bouncey and our players couldnt make a simple crisp pass the entire game. What the hell are the Chinese investing in??!? Embarassing for them and I hope CQ calls them out. It slowed down the pace of the match and didnt allow our players to string together fast passes.

All in all we did fine considering the environment. We all expected more but it wasnt a horrible performance and we should all be content with 4 pts from 2 tough matches.

Poor shooting and passing is standard operating procedure for team melli.

Not from JB or Azmoun. If our best players cant even put two sitters away OR even put them on target that's not something CQ can control. their expectations are high and we needed more from them

I think it might have been the pitch. Not to make excuses for them but it looked very heavy. It didn't seem like the ball sat properly and their shoes went in too deep.

I've played on a lot of bad pitches and sometimes it's hard to make good contact.

i dont understand why we had so many changes. too much changes tbh.

            teethless. speedless. no creativity.

we need 4 points of the next two games. even 2 points are better as 3 points in the next two games. no defeat.

i dont understand why querioz was sitting all the time. he needed to stand and shout from minute 55,60....

We did well, Its china who should be crying now and their fans ripping thier team apart, NOT US!! we are on track, we havent lost and we gained 4 valuable points, Sit tight people, this is a MARATHON not a sprint!.... Give CQ time he didnt have friendlies, didnt have much prep with all the players, so what do you expect?? CQ ill do it, the more we play , the more we will get cohesive!...

Such ungrateful and cynical nation we are. Prior to the match the majority of us said China is strong, we will bear a lot of pressure, especially in the first half etc. Yet we pretty much controlled the game and after a long time finally had 55% possession (Although meaningless)

As far as creating scoring opportunities, we did create many of them, however our finishing was just terrible. Seems like you guys forgot we played away and before a packed stadium in China. Get real folks, stop being so cocky and arrogant!

ARJ had a bad day, his crosses were just unbearable, his shots were amateurish, his dribbling attempts often failed. Beiranvand seemed extremely shaky and unreliable. Azmoun was terrible, just terrible.

Our best players seemed to be Milad Mohammadi and somewhat Ramin Rezaeian, except for his unforgivable header back to the goalie, which almost cost us a penalty and a goal. Jalal as always seemed flawless.

All is all the last thing we should feel, is being angry and disappointed!

Damet garm, so rare to find sensible and logical posts on PFDC any longer. People need to get real, and stop over-fancying TM, we're not the Argentina playing a bunch of wack teams...

There seems to be a lot of bias against Rezaeian, I gather this is about his antics in his club career. Yes, he had a bad backpass which caused China to have a chance but equally, Mohammadi got raped sideways by their winger in the second half and it arguably led to an eve better chance for China yet both fullbacks aren't being treated equally, even though Rezaeian was the more effective player in attack.

Honestly Rezaeian did pretty well imo, Mohammadi on the other hand was defending with panic, like that time he shot the ball 10m back, chased it down and cleared it. Wtf was that? Not to mention his crosses were bad going forward.

Well, what do you know. It wasn't as bad as many of us had expected it to be.

China was never supposed to be an easy opponent and they proved that today. At the same time however, we proved that we played better than them in their own home. Unfortunately for us we couldn't capitalize on our chances, thus resulting in a draw. But credit to China and their defensive tactics. They were able to control and contain us throughout most of the match. They knew who they were up against and did their homework.

We were unlucky and experience goes a long way in games like these.

I was very happy to see Milad start. He did well for his first SERIOUS match. Of course he made some errors, one that could've cost us. But this will be good for him because it is EXPERIENCE ladies and gentlemen. I would point out and focus on his negatives but I choose not to. I like to talk about his positives:

Milad was a fighter. He ran after every ball even if he got juked 1-2 times. He also won ALL the chases due to his incredible speed. This was a good day for this guy and I applaud him. He surely stepped up.

Obviously I was hoping for the 3 points but I knew this would happen and I'm not dissatisfied. We got 1 point in the bag and surprisingly China didn't care for the 3 points.

To sum it up and despite how annoying this match had been, we were the better side and we should be content with this result. I know I am

Practice shooting and crossing is what the doctor prescribes here. For a team that depends on scoring from crosses we were terrible in these 2 games and the shooting was as bad if not worse.

I think it has to do with his performance in the last game more than this one. He didn't seem to gel well with the rest of the team.

how many scoring chances did milad mo create for china? rezaeian single handedly almost cost us the game with 2 ridiculous back passes....milad mo made much less mistakes than rezaeian did. the conservative approach was ok for an inexperienced fullback on the intl level.

Which two back passes? I only remember the header back. Except for that, I think Rezaeian had overall a more solid game than Milad. Not to take anything away from Milad, this was his first big TM game, so I understand if he was nervous. He will hopefully when he gets used to the pressure perform much better, as we both know he is capable of doing.
