Prediction CHINA VS IRAN

I think this match is the most unpredictable one so far. We don't know much about China and their comback from 3-0 down to 3-2 could have been due to Korean's getting complacent.

Anything can happen. I think the return leg will be more predictable once we see how china plays tomorrow.

I'm not getting good vibes on the china game. They are too much of an "known unknown" I'm happy with a draw. Win will be AMAZING!

I haven't watched china in so long and know nothing about them, but I just don't have a good feeling about this game.
them coming home after a close loss to Korea, us going there after a lucky win at home.

winning this game will practically put us in the driver's seat to the WC.

I have a feeling that the first half, especially the first 25 minutes of the Match we will be under tremendous pressure and attack by the Chinese, however from 70' we will pick up our game and score one or perhaps two on counters.

Milad is one of our fastest players, if not the fastest, so playing him against China and Korea will be real wise. Hajsafi is too slow paced and out of good form for this match at least.

CQ is master of tactics and I am sure he has already thought of all facts of this upcoming matches.

One thing, we will not start this match with a pleasantly attractive football, therefore I beg of each and every one of you folks, not to jump the gun and spam the forum with judgmental and hasty comments. Take a deep breath, be patient and wait till the final whistle before bashing the team or individuals. TM has over and over silenced its impatient critics by the final whistles in the past, and hopefully will keep up the trend in this uneasy away match as well!

this is a total trap game. china has always given us trouble. we've never had a comfortable win over them. they're not significantly below south korea in terms of quality. we'd should be happy with a draw. i'm sure they're going to come out very aggressively. we have to weather the storm (and not get scored on in the first 20 minutes). after they've tired themselves out and the game slows down, we'll be able to overpower them. my prediction:

first 20 minutes: china goes full-throttle on offense, scores on us, has some dangerous shots on goal.

minute 50-90: we start to create dangerous chances and score on a set piece.

Draw for me 0-0 or 1-1.

Would be delighted with more but this will depend on our ability to string some passes together and supply Azmoun. Agree with other posts that LAM/LW and RB need to be addressed. Not sure throwing Milad into the diring line with so little experience is such a good idea but would be a bold move by CQ.

Big game needed by our central midfielders. Ando did well but we need Ez to impose himself (a lot to ask of someone so young but this is the moment to deliver).

If we assume that Korea beats Syria. Then a draw between Qatar and Uzbekistan would still leave us in second position.

We need to get as many positive results in the first half of the campaign for which we mostly play away. I realise that we don't always handle the pressure of playing at home but I wouldn't underestimate the Azadi impact (assuming the fans turn up) on the opposition.

I believe that as Asias 1st ranked team we should only be statisfied to draw SK, Japan or Australia away. Playing all the others teams we should go for a win. Not saying it will be an easy match but i believe the guys know that theyre better than China and have enough self confidene. Would be happy with a 1:0.

China will put pressure from kickoff. We will be on the defensive a good part of the match. We will put 10 men behind the ball, and have Sardar waiting alone up top for a counter-attack. If China scores early, we will likely tie or lose. I do not see this team being able to score 2 in China. If we can hold them off and frustrate them, we will likely win on the counter 1-0. This will be a difficult match, I'm worried.

If we play smart and don't foul near the box we should be in good shape. Score early and the floodgates will open. Chinese are desperate to start contending for a spot in the top three and will play panic football.

Also we dont have as much pressure coming off a sweet win + decent rest. We're in the drivers seat. Iran 3-0 China

considering that they were able to score 2 against korea it would be a mistake to take them lightly.

I watched their games in AC. They have improved a lot in fundamentals and have a few speedy technical players on the wing.

However I think that our team will play much better than the first game, and I think that our team will simply be too physical for them.


I predict china will try and go full throttle as its their home and they will perhaps look dangerous for the first quarter of the game.

I expect a 2-1 type of win, but will not be upset with a tie, as I am a realist.

I predict a 2-1. Iran scores with 2 headers one from Pag (i think cq will use him cuz of his experience in china) and one from azmoun. China will score late in the second half.
