We shall not fear any team if we want to reach Russia and get to the second round. So what Uzbek sit on top now. I guarantee you TM will beat this team in Tashkent like 4 years ago! We are Iran. Every team fears us. Every team has lost to us. Come Oct 6 Uzbeks better bring their A game!

We are also playing away in Uzbekistan so it'll be interesting to see how Carlos will prepare his team. Whether line-up, formation, tactics, etc..

Uzbrkistan game is a very IMPORTANT game for us. U wouldn't necessarily call it a "do or die" scenario, but it's best to do early than procrastinate. And by "do" I mean get the 3 points.

Last time we faced was a friendly match on their turf. Now it's on their turf again but a completely different atmosphere and feel. I believe in Team Melli. I think we will scratch and claw our way to the top and the end result will be a pretty one.

No one is out yet and no one has clinched qualification. We only just finished match day 2.

TM must play every game like its a playoff game. As simple as that.
It is completely in our own hands right now.

if qatar loses to korea in matchday 3 they have 0p after 3 rounds.

Iran key game is matchday 3. we lose and uzbeks can have 12p after 4 rounds and we could be stuck at 5!

Of course, there are many IFs. But its still in our hands. That is a great power/burden to have.

No matter how you cut it...in order for the TM going to the world cup...we have to play good and be better than others in this qualification tournement,at the end of the day...
even if we lose a game or two, we still have time to be better than others.....patience,and consistancy, and focus ...thats what we need.....no particular opponant should matter.

Relax Uzbek played Qatar and Syria I expected 6pts from them, In my mind Qatar and Syria are still 3rd rate Asian NT's who are just fillers at this stage of WCQ.

Don't worry. Nothing is for certain at this stage.

You guys remind me of all the NFL spokesmen who make stats out of every little thing and make unnecessary predictions.

Long live PDFC what would I do without you guys haha

I can say something about Iran we perform better under pressure and we have shown it from 2006 to today we just need to change players but we can and we should beat Uzbekistan even a draw is good

Even tho Uzbek won, we are in great especially after Korea drew with Syria.. If we can get 4 points from Uzbek and Korea games then we are in great shape going to Syria game. Beating Korea will be huge and put us in golden shape to qualify.

Watch this game we did with Uzbeks about a year ago, its basically going to be a repeat in a month:

I just watched Uzbak/Qatar highlights. I only saw one goal opportunity ( free kick ) by Uzbakistan on which they scored. That was it!
Qataris seemed to be in control and had many opportunities, so I am not worried about our game against Uzbakistan as long as we play our game. The team will get more in sync after each game and the players have now played two games which should really be counted as preparation games.

If we get a tie there and win in Tehran we have taken away 4 points from them and I don't think that's an impossible task. The rest will take care of itself.

Why are you so sure you won't lose to South Korea?

I think too much pressure is been put on the shoulder of a 21 year old to score goals.AFC cup is not the same as World Cup qualifying tournament the pressure is way more.Cq needs to use Gucci more and azmoun less.If we want to qualify I just don't see it in the last two games from any of the young players.I haven't been impressed at all.ARJ is turning out to be a good club player and SA is not ready to lead this team in offence by himself.
