    LOL Hi!

    welcome back!
But please don't just come back, when we play against each other, stick around longer man...

    Respect to your team.
I am actually supporting you guys as one of the two direct qualifiers to WC together with Iran (and hopefully behind Iran )
I don't have much love left for South Koreans...

I think Uzebki football deserves to be an AFC representative at WC, would be awesome to have Iran, Australia, Uzebkistan, and Japan as 4 direct qualifiers....!
    Good Luck to us all!

I have to admit I am very disappointed with TMs performance so far. We got a late victory thanks to Qatar's goalkeeper, otherwise we would have been siting now with a mere 2 points facing some tough opposition in the next two games.

      Lets consider ourselves Very Lucky.

Now the game in Tashkent will be more crucial as we cannot afford to let the Uzbeks to distant themselves point wise, which would really jeopardize our chances. So now we have to aim at defeating the Uzbeks in Tashkent, which should be harder than winning China away. Players like Jahanbakhsh, Azmoun and Rezaian need to really step it up several notches.

Honestly, they way we have played these last 2 games will NOT get us to Russia.

I don't know if this call ups of young players in the last two year has really helped us when it's mattered.I don't like our chances after watching the last 2 games like some have said we barely beat Qatar and now we tie a team who played with a back up goalie who whenever you pressured him he would pull a mirzapour.I don't care how shitty the pitch was no more f(:;ing excuses this is the big dance,if forwards can't score at this level in important international games that is saying alot about are chances it's only 2 games but we are now 2 points behind the leaders who are going to be ready for us at home again all the pressure is back on Iran...ey Val!We do it to ourselves at every major tourney we want everything the hard way.and this time I just have a feeling Lady Luck won't be on our side.uzbeks are wanting revenge for the last time we played in Uzbekistan last wc qualifiers, the way I see it they just might, don't be surprised if we come back home empty handed.

          Welcome back Ahad jan!

One of the chillest non-Iranian members here on PFDC

It's been a while man, good to see that you are back. I hope Iran and Uzbekistan qualify together to Russia 2018.

Let South Korea go through the play-offs. I'm sure if their 2016 team is as good as their fans brag about, they will have no trouble going through Trinidad, Honduras, Panama, etc..

Some of you guys seems to be sleeping. Baba time has changed and so is Football. You think teams like Qatar, China, Uzbek just have been sitting their asses while Iran is working hard for progress? These teams have been investing billions of dollars in football.

There are no given victories any more. The time has past when you just could count on wins against teams like Uzbek, China, Syria and so on..You are expecting Iran to win every single game, regardless opponent and wether they play at home or away. What kind of logic is that?

We played China who's been investing a lot in their football, at home, infront of 60,0000, statistically we were better team and closest to a victory and you still whining. I'm just so tired of these attitudes.

Do you guys even follow European football? Just take a look att som of the recent WCQ results from

            Belarus 0 - 0 France

            Bulgaria 4 - 3 Luxembourg

            Sweden 1 - 1 Netherlands

            Andorra 0 - 1 Latvia

            Faroe Islands 0 - 0 Hungary

            Switzerland 2 - 0 Portugal

            Albania 2 - 1 FYR Macedonia

            Bosnia-Herzegovina 5 - 0 Estonia

            Cyprus 0 - 3 Belgium

            Gibraltar 1 - 4 Greece

            Denmark 1 - 0 Armenia

            Kazakhstan 2 - 2 Poland

To win against a wounded shatar international in qatar by uzbeks was a real achievment. The shatari team was under huge pressure from the defeat in tehran, they had to win vs uzbekistan, shatari team had also promissed their people to show something.

however, uzb still managed to win.

Thus is Uzbekistan so far to be considered as a real challange until the contrary is proven.

And btw, it seems like our dear friend Benjamin Williams will be the referee of this game

Maybe just as well as he is the referee since the asshole has something to make amends towards
                  us iranians.

Lol what ever happened to the famous PFDC "Khak to saram" smiley?

That's what I used but I can't view it Essi jan.

I agree that Syria and Qatar are not the top-notch teams of our group, but they are decent (not to be confused with decent footballing) in terms of the challenges/threats they pose against other teams. For example, Syria took away 2 points from S.Korea and China took away 2 points from Iran.
Qatar lost two back-to-back matches against Iran and Uzbekistan. But given the disproportionately big ambitions of these little guys, you sure can expect a tough match from them in October 10 in Seoul against Korea, who in turn were already held to a disappointing draw by the group minnows Syria. Qatar will fight and it will be an ugly match.
Speaking of ugly matches, the match in Doha was one of the ugliest matches I watched. Qatar were openly pressuring the referee for cards, free-kicks, spot-kicks as if the referee owes them something. They mentally broke down as the referee refused to oblige and began fouling like maniacs against Uzbekistan. It was ugly, trust me.

What do you think your chances actually are?
Has the team performed beyond what you expected?

We have had disappointing, unlucky last stage WCQs historically the most notorious ones being the controversial match with Bahrain, and being left out of the last WC "thanks to" own-goal of our own player in Korea.
Two wins in first two matches in the last stage is a new record achievement for us.
But these type of "historical", "hall of fame" type of records are for the general public, I guess. More enthusiastic, interested fans should zoom in to more recent records and draw conclusions and set expectations based on the most recent records and trends.
So, from the previous stage of the qualifications I see that Uzbekistan's performance was next to S. Korea's in terms of the points collected (Kore perfect 24 points and Uzb 21 points) and Iran is third with 20 points.
Qatar also topped its group with 21 points, but I always take their records with a grain of salt due to almost ever-present machinations. China was in the same group with Qatar and finished second with 17 points. Qatar and China have about the same strength, they beat each other at home.
China joined the last stage as the last one of the best second-placed teams, whereas Syria was the second of the second-best placed teams. So, Syria is slightly stronger than China at the moment.
Iran drew with Oman and Turkmenistan and so, lost 4 points. Oman and Turkmenistan are not very strong to be honest. And it shows you may have some performance/consistency issues going on.
Syria should not be taken lightly and they already proved that by drawing an away match with Korea.
I would say China is the weakest team in our group despite the fact that they are improving very fast, they are still the weaker side. In fact, Qatar was and is a strong side. We, Uzbekistan, got 6 points from two dangerous and strong opponents, Syria and Qatar. Qatar suffered a blow from Iran and Uzbekistan due to last-minute goals, they lost not because they are weak, but because we know how to beat them. They will put up a tough fight against others now that they have lost two matches in a row. And that is good for Uzbekistan. We would love to see Qatar denying points to Korea.
I see our chances to be excellent now that we will enter into crucial matches against Iran and Korea with a two-point advantage. If Uzbekistan wants to qualify, we must see Korea and Iran lose points and others have already done it for us, you already lost points before we even met. Both, Korea and Iran are now forced to only win against us in order to go in front of us in the race.
Korea was perfect in the third stage, but Syria showed us they are not that perfect at the moment. Iran is strong but seems to have consistency issues at the moment, beating the likes of Qatar is good but drawing with the likes of Oman, Turkmenistan, and China indicates that we may have a good chance of earning points from you. Moreover, you seem to have goal-scoring problems as well. I do not think Azmoun is a great striker, I think Gucci is more creative and unpredictable. But that is none of my business.
