I sort of stopped closely following our national team after we did not make to the last WC. I know Rashidov and Sergeev are two new and fine additions to the team, they are the same age with your Azmoun, I believe. Uzbekistan have been strong, at least among top 4 teams in young age groups pretty consistently. I thing our national team level success is long past due.

the current team seems decent too but i think the late-on pressures of WCQs comes a bit too early for many of your newer young talents to cope with, and doubt if they can manage to keep their confidence and perform to its (required) peak levels in final rounds to finally put that choking jinx behind them..!! for that to happen you guys really need to Take some points away from SK..! 2 or 3 would do..!! and off course the PlayOff vs Concacaf route is also not so difficult this time around either..!
off course nothing would make happier than to have you guys qualify next to TM directly, and i suppose, if they muster a win vs TM at home then they could well be on their way..!!? but if your coach is smart, he wouldnt get greedy and adapt an attacking scheme vs us ..! as badly as we are struggling in playmaking area, you should be somewhat guaranteed of a Point at home with adaptation of an intelligent semi-conservative, mostly counter-attacking tactics vs TM..!
your team has had the Fortune of early success and 6/6 points, now its your coach's job going forward to adapt a more realistic approach to methodically add to this early impressive tally..! His main overall objective going forward should be to Avoid putting his talented but Raw team in high stress/must win situations..!!
good luck....!! NOT

For me Geynrikh is probably the most dangerous player going forward, and of course the usual Ahmedov/Denisov and few others from 2014 WCQ generation... Sergeev is good in the air from what I've seen these last couple of years but our CBs generally deal well with aerial balls

i can say one thing firmly, against big teams and hard games iran always produce the result, from 1997 till now we failed in 1 game against ireland, 2010 was a joke campaign,
so i have good feeling, a draw is good for us, as long as we dont lose, we need to remmber uzbekistan have korea, have us in tehran

I do not know why but I was very happy when I learned that we are in the same group with Iran again. There will be very powerful struggle in Tashkent because this game is a revenge match for Uzbekistan, and Iran needs more scores. You will not be bored.
The fact that we could not go to the World Cup last time was the fault of the coach appointed after the loss against Iran in Tashkent 4 years ago. Everything went wrong then and he failed. But today we have a new coach who knows how to motivate his players. If in doubt, look at all the latest matches of Uzbekistan. I am sure Babayan is in the right direction and we will finally achieve our goal.
Olg'a Oz'bekiston!
Nonetheless this will be a real exciting match, for I personally think it could go either way, but a much more probable result is a draw in Tashkent.

Our away game against Uzbekistan will be a nasty dog fight. It won't be pretty football. I'm afraid, both teams don't want to give up much too early in the campaign so it will turn into another 0-0.
Unfortunately, I think CQ will see Uzbekistan as clear favorites of this game and we will go into it with defensive mindset.
The result is that CQ will be happy with another 1 point. He is probably going for the win in Azadi few days later against Korea. Just my guess.

This is Mohammad Nouri goal that was called offside. Robbery.
The goal that was not given in Tashket is harder because it barely crossed the line. This goal was just robbed from us.
This is why people are somewhat suspicious of Arab refs and us. It's because of stuff like this, at least for those who are impartial and are just talking about games.

Also, all this talk of top 3 that is, Iran, Uzbekistan, and Korea is meaningless because it assumes that other teams can't steal points from them. I doubt Uzbekistan will win every match so we can rest assured that as of right now it's too early to predict anything.
