Ghoddos is truly a special player.. It doesnt take einstein to figure out this guy is gonna be a top 5 Euro league player.

I see him as another Dejagah type player... especially now that Dejagah has gotten older, we could really use him on Team Melli

Saman Ghoddos basically saying that it is a 50/50 chance between him choosing Iran or Sweden. Playing for Iran has always been tempting and it has nothing to do with Iran qualifying for the World Cup or not, it would simply make his parents and relatives very proud. He has had some contact with the Iranian federation just a few weeks ago and that he can't choose right now and that he is very impressed by the Iranian team and that he is proud and happy that Iran will be playing in the World Cup.

Sweden just recently lost one of their biggest talents Sead Haksabanovic who chose to represent Montenegro instead. And before him they lost Gucci's team mate Arber Zeneli to Kosovo, so they'll probably be a bit more careful to not lose the possibility of Ghoddos as well.

well he sure sounded respectful, and aware of this in the interview. And it was IFF that approached him. tbh, If CQ wants to invite , it will happen. IFF is currently in CQ's pocket after this qualification, pressure from players for better support/prep.

I hope this is not the case but that remind me of Kerem Demirbay who wrote a letter to FIFA to play for Turkey, and finally he gets the permission by FIFA and the call by Turkey, then on the same day Low invite him for the confederation cup squad, he changes his mind on the same day and if i am not wrong played his first match against San Marino few days a go, all to say you don't know what is going on in people's mind.
